    Mills was great. I picked Cappuccino because a few people picked Mills already and Frank was cut from the same no nonsense mold and let guys fight.

    I would be insufferable.

    I would aim to get the fighters out of the ring alive, and if that might result in some controversial stoppages, then so be it.

    Harry Gibbs was a no nonsense referee much like Mills Lane, he kept the bouts that he was officiating fair. Arthur Mercante Sr was also the same way. Carlos Padilla let the fighters fight, he was a fighters referee.

    Arthur Donovan seemed to handle every big fight imaginable in the 30s & 40s...

    UKs Eugene Henderson, pure Gentleman & Straight Up by all accounts unlike a few other UK Refs "too Close to the Capital."
