If you had to pick a new trainer for Joshua who do you think he would benefit from? I'm having trouble choosing myself. I think Sugar Hill but that will never happen.
Go to Adam Booooooth hes the best, the dark lord...... On a serious note i think he should take himself away from all his team and start again, AKA Skinz and all the hangers on that gas him up need to be ****ed off asap, IMO he should go and base himself in the US with maybe Abel Sanchez or Freddie Roach maybe even Teddy Atlas, he needs to get back to what he is best at and that is being an aggressive wrecking ball that looks to take people out. He certainley dosn't need people saying great work AJ in round 10-11 when he has been getting punched upside down.
Joshua’s current trainer is fine. McCracken has done an excellent job with Joshua and was giving him all the proper instructions with Usyk, but Joshua isn’t used to fighting an opponent that’s difficult to land on and nowadays heavyweights with a combination of effective mobility and good combination punching is rare, so Joshua was hesitating, which is the last thing you want to do with a guy as experienced as Usyk. The problem is Joshua became a champion too soon and now his lack of experience is coming back to haunt him.
Ronnie Shields, Virgil Hunter, Stacey McKinely or Buddy McGirt would be a fine addition. He needs them American trainers. Take a leaf out of Fury's book.
Sugarhill would have been ideal for him because of the Kronk history with the big guys. Obviously that’s not gonna happen but other then that I’d say Freddie or Abel.
Agree with the guys that said Kronk. AJ needs to commit to something. And I think he’s more likely to be successful as a Kronk wrecking ball than to be turned into some slick boxer under somebody else.
Kronk would be a good fit, tall power puncher, needs to protect his chin. AJ needs a personality match. I think someone calm in the corner that would give calm, clear, advice. My picks would be Abel Sanchez, Dan Birmingham, or Freddie Roach. Someone like Atlas would be all wrong with his confusing analogies and berating his fighters in the corner.
Papachenko but that's impossible Nobody would help him because it's not the problem of the gameplan. AJ don't have stamina or ability to bully Usyks level of opponent. What would he learn in 6 months to help him ? I don't see it.
