If you had to put these attributes in order from most important to least important how would you put them in order? Heart stamina punch power speed mental power(confidence/focus) chin skill
I'm not saying it's unimportant I just think the others are more important. The more you have of the other attributes, the less heart you need.
I thought boxing was 80% mental? Even if you have good skills having no confidence is gonna do you over.
How exactly was that measured? :think In my experience confidence grows as you gain skills. But of course if you have no confidence to begin with you won't get far. Again I don't think heart is unimportant I just rate the others higher.
Heart ( it takes real courage to get in that ring) Mental power ( you have to have a strong focus mind, you have to have confidence in your self) Stamina ( if you don't have that wind you will lose most likly to guy you know you can beat) Skill ( technique in any sport is important) Speed ( you have to be first to punch and be able to slip punches) Chin ( sometimes you might have to take one or two give one or u might get rocked that night, if you have a good chin you might can come back) Punch power ( you have to keep them boys off you , you have to make them respect your punching power bc boys like hatton and cotto just keep coming. And punching power is the last thing to leave a boxer ask George Forman.
skill - if you don't have it, you just don't. stamina - without this, skill is pointless. heart - eventually you will be tested, and you need to be able to push through mental power(confidence/focus) - this is similar to heart, but I guess it's more discipline, so very important. speed - I'll take a fast boxer over a puncher any day chin - this can be developed, and is somewhat inherent, and very important in the long run power - the least important of these...knockout power is nice but not necessary...however you must be able to gain the respect of your opponent.
Heart - Gotta have the desire and drive. Mental Power - This helps you keep your head on, which helps you keep skill, speed, and strength, as well as verastility. Skill - Can't get anywhere if you can't box. Stamina - Gotta be able to last every second of every round, and go punch for punch with your opponenent, at least.. Speed - Have to get punches to the opponent to score points. Chin - It can save you at anytime, though its not vital, but Skill, Heart, and Stamina can usually cover for this. Power - Not way too important, but its always good to have it if whatever else isnt working, that and it helps keep the other guy moving.
my order would go like this, Mental power - this is alot in the ring you have to have it. Heart - have to have the will to train hard in the gym skill stamina - gotta have this to take advantage of skill and speed or else after half round ur gonna be tired speed - more important than pwr chin - useful and can sometiems save your ass power - good to have
