    You are the champion of whatever iteration you hold the belt for. Being, for example, the IBF Heavyweight Champion makes you just that, the IBF HW Champ. It doesn't make you THEE Heavyweight Champion. Most divisions don't really have a proper champion. I don't even think holding 3 of the belts necessarily makes you the top dog in the division either, it depends on the circumstances.
