Exactly. His expression after the fight seemed to be saying, "What do I have to do to hurt that guy?"

so what ya'll think of Kirkland to recover from the KO and win in the same round?

 

I was impressed. He seemed get his wits back quickly and even though he caught some more hard shots after he got up, he kept coming. He needs to work on his defense some, but he's got heart, no doubt about it.

 

yeah, he showed alot of heart by getting up and attacking right away. I think he also learned no to bumrush an oppnonent right outta the gate and leave yourself wide open for counters...lol... at least get a feel for your oppnonents power before you start wailing away.

 

Good point. That definitely seems to be the lesson he should take from this fight.

 

Or at least research the guy beforehand and base his opening-bell approach on whether or not the guy has a reputation as a good puncher. The blitzkrieg can still help him out against plenty of guys who can't respond to instant swarming.
