If you have the chance to watch only 1 of these 2 fights, you would watch it on tv not in the arena, which one would you choose:

    A) Prime Ali vs Prime Tyson
    B) Prime Duran vs Prime Chavez

Second question if you could watch both but 1 in the arena and the other one on tv which one would you choose in the arena and which one on tv? why?

I would probably watch Duran-Chavez in the arena, just a personal favouritism thing.

Duran-Chavez would be the better fight.

Right now though, with boxing's popularity in the US continuing to decline, I'd rather Tyson-Ali happen though.

I kinda of think Tyson relly has little chance of beating Ali.

But Duran and Chavez are 2 pound for pound greats in there eras.

That would be one of the all time great fights right there, Ali vs Tyson would have fireworks in the first 4 or 5 rounds, until Ali takes over and either stops Tyson or wins on points. Leaning more with stopping Tyson.

    Duran/Chavez be more competitive, imo.

    Tyson couldnt hit Ali.

While I admire both JCC and Duran, I'm not a fan of either. The same is true of Ali and Tyson, but I'm sure Ali would MAKE me want to watch him either win or be KO'd in the run up to that fight. Also, I think Ali-Tyson is a more even fight than Duran-JCC, so I'd go for Ali-Tyson.

Of the fights that really did happen but weren't recorded, I'd love to have seen Joe Jeanette vs. Sam McVey. 7 knockdowns, 49 rounds!

So Tyson was worse than Ali's title opponents in the 1960s?

Well, Ali is my fav fighter but Duran-Chavez is arguably my all time fav myth fight.

If I only had one choice, Id choose Ali-Tyson just because its the most asked about mythical fight & would solve millions of arguments.

Next answer - Id watch Ali-Tyson in the arena & invite EVERYBODY round my house for the Duran-Chavez fight to see on TV knowing that they will become boxing fans for life after witnessing that greatness.
