If you have to pick between Kessler and Taylor who is going to own the SMW division?

I heard Prescott on the grind tonight say he thinks Jermaine is going to own the SMW division. I still favor Kessler over Taylor at the moment but see it being close. Who do you like to be the future king of the SMW division. Taylor, Kessler, or someone else?

Well, it can't be taylor, as he is too chickenhearted to fight for a world title that he is the mandatory in. Remember, taylor has done NOTHING at
168, and he has a world champ he is straight up ducking. If he doesn't
come out of hiding and face either, balzsy, kessler, or froch next(bute has a fight lined up in march) then I don't want to hear his name ever again.
Fight the best at 168 or move back down to 160.

Another note is I think I need to see both fight again against another top SMW to be certain but I still favor Kessler. I actually do think however that 168 is a better division for Jermaine than 160 was the last 3 or 4 years since the two Hopkins fights. He was always a big middle-weight. Kessler lost to Calzaghe to we have to see what happens against another top SMW but I don't think any other SMW is as good as Calzaghe was though.

He couldn't even make 160 comfortably at the end of his reign so there is no going back and he will fight a top guy sooner than later and you really know better than to say he's chicken-hearted. He has always fought with lots of heart.

Kessler is just as fast and has more pop.

Good point. Kessler's speed is underrated and I actually think he has the most pop in the division as well as perhaps the most wicked jab in boxing. Jermaine has shown vulnerability to the jab and Kessler's is damaging. I think they are equal in speed but Jermaine does probably have quicker reflexes though which are two different things.

Kessler is superior in every aspect of boxing. He's not a transcendent superstar or anything, but he's the best the division has to offer right now.

Kessler and I don't even think it'll be close. Hell I think Froch can beat Taylor! but he'd get his ass handed to him by Kessler. I really hope Kessler goes over to America and starts to establish himself before it's too late and we have another Calzaghe scenario on our hands. The guys got the tools to beat anyone in the division, including Dirrell and and Bute. I really think he'll try to prove it.

I think in the near future it is Kessler, but I think Danny Jacobs, Andre Dirrell, and Andre Ward have the potential to upset him (highest chances in decending order). One of them will get to him.

Yeah we already have a packed division and also these younger guys who are looking good. Lots of good fights come.

I think he has superstar quality if he can get over here to the states though.

None of the other top guys at 168 are fighting anyone else in the top 5; why the double-standard against Taylor?

Kessler is probably a lot less of a robot than you think. Jermaine is however hard-headed.
