If you managed a top 10 heavyweight .... would you match them against a klitsko?

I'd wait for at least Vitali to retire. If you win against Wlad today and they have options on your fighter then Vitali will take him apart in a revenge fight.

i'd wait for both of them to retire..... I think thats what they are doing with that young american dude... i cant even remember his name right now

but i'd rather fight the next top heavyweights 10-2 before i have my guy fight either klitscko

The fighter in me wants to say 'HELL YEAH!' but the manager alter ego would say, 'whooaa, whooaa...you sure about this?' Probably not if you're looking at the long term development of you fighter. One bad loss and some guys just never recover mentally...:-(

I guess it would really depend on how old my fighter is...

Id hav him fight the other top 10 fighters first who i think he has good chance against, once there arent any good money fights left, then id go vs a Klit.

At this point at least not Vitali. Or my 'top 10 HW' must be so good that he has a 40%+ chance maybe I'll put him against him but with one of the current top 10 fighters... no chance in hell I'll put mine against VK.

If I managed a top 10 heavy, I'd have him hyped up to the point where the fans demanded to see it. So, if he says he's ready and he wants that shot, I'll make sure he gets it.

Depends on whether I think he's actually good. If not, then sure - he'll probably get paid more from one fight with a Klitschko than he would bouncing around and beating up on lesser fighters. If he actually has the potential to be good someday, then only if he's good enough to be competitive. If Klitschko would whoop him, then better to let him keep developing. If it might be competitive, then the bump in name recognition might at least help down the line.

I would not match them against a top 10 heavyweight.. Why? Because I think they are too stiff and robotic to take on someone like Muhammad Ali or Larry Holmes. These guys would probably outpoint them. :-(

I would never match a prospect against either Klitschko. Those two guys have ruined almost everyone who has ever fought them. Not one single fighter is ever the same after being in the ring with either one of them.

I think you're missing the point.

In any case, of course not. There's no Top 10 heavyweight now that stands a chance against the Klitschkos. Unless my fighter is desperate for a payday and a beating, I'm waiting until they retire.
