Scour Youtube, Dailymotion and other video outlets over the next couple of days and try to get a peek at as much of the action September 18th brought us as you can.

This was a great night of boxing overall, and the last time we will see high-level competition in this sport for several weeks.

Next Saturday was supposed to feature Ward vs. Dirrell. The Saturday after that was supposed to feature Froch vs. Abraham. Both of those Super Six bouts have been postponed (possibly to November).

The next big circled date on the calendar isn't until October 15th, for Lucian Bute's mandatory defense against Jesse Brinkley.

There will be a small trickle of marginally interesting boxing in that time (including Tony Bellew in a domestic scrap on SKY Sports next Friday, as well as routine title defenses by Daiki Kameda, Takachi Uchiyama, Krzysztof Wlodarczyk, Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym, and Pongsaklek Wonjongkam) but really the next "big" televised boxing event is going to be Bute vs. Brinkley - and even that isn't terribly attractive.

Worth tracking down from the Magnificent 7, the HBO PPV, and the Fox Sports Espanol card are:

    Kell Brook vs. Michael Jennings
    Matthew Hall vs. Lukas Konecny
    Nathan Cleverly vs. Karo Murat
    Derek Chisora vs. Sam Sexton
    Alexander Frenkel vs. Enzo Maccarinelli
Daniel Ponce De Leon vs. Antonio Escalante
    Victor Ortiz vs. Vivian Harris
    Saul Alvarez vs. Carlos Baldomir
Humberto Soto vs. Fidel Monterrosa Munoz

    You can skip:

James DeGale vs. Carl Dilks (ended before it began)
Matthew Macklin vs. Shalva Jomardishvili (slow)
Shane Mosley vs. Sergio Mora (ugly)
Jorge Arce vs. Lorenzo Parra (slow)

    You're welcome. :good

See you in a month, fight fans! :hi:

Thanks IB, I saw almost all of the UK card but missed the US one. In particular, Cleverly vs Murat, Frenkel vs Maccarinelli and Hall vs Konecny are worth watching. As for the US PPV card, Ortiz seemed to do as expected and Mosley-Mora apparently was a stinker as expected.

I was very impressed that Canelo was able to KO Baldomir, even if he did look 60 years old at the weigh in.

If Cleverly-Murat got stopped just before the tenth, is that over 9.5 rounds?
