He matches up very well against JJ though. JJ way too slow for Usyk. Joyce is a nightmare for any big slow heavyweight who relies on power. I think anyone who knows anything about boxing rates Usyk at heavyweight, at least amongst the current top 10
What if I don’t think of Joyce as a top five heavy? Can I continue to mock Usyk or at least the idea he would curbstomp every heavyweight ever from John L. Sullivan to Tyson Fury? It was a great win for Joyce who still moves with grace and speed of a brick in a washing machine. He’s on the wrong side of thirty though. I’d actually like to see him against Parker or Whyte but Usyk wrecks him right now in my opinion.
Joe Joyce is tailor made for Usyk, who has an even better tank and doesn’t rely on his power alone. Not sure why people need constant validation that Usyk is an amazing boxer.
I don't. But a LOT of people are saying that he just doesn't have it at heavy. Validation would mean that I have doubts. I am on record as saying that I have no doubt whatsoever that he will win a heavyweight title.
Well, in reading through these threads, a lot of people that bought into the Dubois hype are holding. They think he is a fight or two away from being right back. I never bought into either Dubois or Joyce, and you can see that on a couple of dozen threads where I have said so. But I am specifically addressing those who have and do.
Joyce would beat The Tuscaloser, Whyte, Old Man River Ortiz and this aged version of Sasha Povetkin too all of whom are ranked top 5 by The Ring. What I'm saying here isn't an opinion it's a FACT and one which is supported by science, knowledge, wisdom and truth.
The people saying Usyk can't cut it at heavy are likely the same geniuses that predicted a vicious Dubois KO win tonight. What can you really say when one segment of fans just isn't capable of seeing what you're seeing?
