If you stood up to Tyson you could beat him!!!

You said it. People who say just stand up to Tyson and win are asses. You still need strategy and execution. Ruddock stood up to Tyson and got a broken jaw. And Bruno stood up to Tyson in the first fight and got nearly decapitated with uppercuts.

 

Tysons bouts w Ruddock and even more underrated, Ferguson, were really good scraps. I dont think either man feared Tyson they just didn't have the skillset tho Ruddock had respectable power. Tillis was probably Tysons hardest fight while he still had his drive n passion. He still calls Mike a s1ssy saying Shavers hit him so hard he felt it from his jaw to his butt crack lol. Wild dude but you still gotta respect him for facing Shavers n Tyson.

 

Only two w the skills on paper came later in Tysons career unfortunately after he wasn't committed to training (Holyfield) and then completely a shell of himself (Lewis). I love Holyfield/Tyson 1 more than the average person but find 2 n Lewis fight to b hard to watch.
