If you think about it, Chisora's actually in quite a tricky spot at the moment

Obviously he'll want to somehow keep himself in the frame regarding K2 and Haye....but can he really afford to just hang around waiting to see how all that pans out?

He risks being slowly forgotten now that he is out of the spotlight and there are so many imponderables with K2 and Haye that he could end up just hanging around for nothing, even if he has been promised something.

So, to wait around and do nothing is dangerous.......that brings us to option (b)......a tune up or stay busy fight against a nobody, hoping that would be enough to keep him sharp and keep him in the public eye. But really, unless he has been absolutely guaranteed a tilt at K2/Haye, who would care about him fighting a can?

So then we have option (c).....to tidy up the British and Commonwealth situation against Fury or Audley. The inherant danger here is that he could get sparked against Audley or outlasted and outpointed by Fury. Then he'd be back almost to square one in terms of the World title picture. I'm not sure the risk/reward ratio works out for him against these guys....but it's a tough call.

What about option (d)? Oh yes!, there's an option (d)!

It's an option I don't think I've seen mentioned anywhere. He could turn his attention to the European situation and try to create a match with the Sosnowski v Dimitrenko winner. A win would pretty much ensure that he stays in the world title picture regardless of the outcome of K2 v Haye.

    :think

How would Fury vs Chisora do, money wise?

could it headline a reasonably big show?

im not sure if its financially worth the risk?

He should just do what the other guys waiting for a big fight do (Rhodes, Brook, Murray, Groves) and fight Eurocans and the Bums from Brazil.

I'm sure Frank will uncork a beauty for DeGale at the weekend too..

I am not sure if I will get stick for this but I do feel he beats anyone on the British scene with ease right now and would beat Sosnowski and Dimitrenko. I think the failure of his world title fight to happen has been a major blessing in disguise. Right now he gets spanked hard against any world title holder or genuine contender but in a year if he is still focused he can be in the perfect frame for a title shot and a win.

The Klits will not be around for ever and neither will Haye so Chisora could get a Warren style world title fight and keep progressing himself as a boxer against the decent Brits, europeans and the odd American til the belt becomes available.

I also think he probably beats all of them (at the moment, I may change my mind).

That's why I think he might be as well challenging the Sosnowski/Dimitrenko winner as it'll 'mean' a bit more than cleaning up domestically.

That being said, I find the idea of Chisora v Fury curiously appealing.

Chisora V Fury could do big, big numbers IMHO. Tyson Fury's name alone will sell PPV. Add to the fact he's a gypsy and his dad's recently been sent to jail and you've got an angle. Mix that in with Chisora's recent letdowns with Wlad, his ban for earbiting and what could be billed as his 'changing of the guard' fight against Williams.

If Warren promoted it and got it splashed across the Sun it could be the biggest domestic fight since Benn/Eubank. I think it would deliver in terms of spectacle too.

Let's be real guys. Chisora was lucky to even be considered for any kind of world title, let alone the main world heavyweight championship against the number 1 in the division.

Ok so for Del it could be difficult to take and his ego may now be too big to want to step back down to British level, but it's the only thing he can do really. I've no doubts that Tyson Fury and Mick Hennessey would take a British title fight and as the mandatory that should be the next defence for Chisora.

He should fight Fury, then some washed up big names/recent title challengers and he'll probably manage to keep himself relevant.

I hope he goes for Fury next, he refused to vacate the title a while back, which is fine but it kept Fury waiting, so only fair to give Fury a shot now. I'm sure Fury would take the April date, too. Hopefully it will happen - I think that Fury would win it, but I am equally sure that Chisora believes that he would beat Fury quite comfortably, so he probably doesn't view it as much of a risk.

Fury vs Chisora on Haye Klit undercard?

Fury training by Steward (I think?) and Chisora probably tied in somehow?

Chisora will probably relinquish his belt and hold out till he gets a shot off Wlad or Vitali by fighting the likes of Harrison, Sprott, Rogan etc.
