To the original post.. Mosley isn't as fast as Pac-man. In his prime he probably was, but now he's slightly slower. Obviously Shane is going to look fast against Margarito.

I love Miguel Cotto. He's a true warrior. I have nothing but respect for the guy. That said, the reason many are picking Pac-man to destroy him are...

1) Cotto will have to lose a couple pounds of muscle, which puts him at a disadvantage.

2) Cotto just had a war with Clottey, while Pac had an easy time dismissing Hatton in his last fight.

3) Cotto has a nasty cut from Clottey's head. Sure it will heal, but not fully. It won't take much to break open the scar tissue and if Miguel can't see Manny's right hands coming, he's gonna go to sleep.

4) Cotto was very effective at dealing with Mosely's speed, but he barely won that fight. Pac-man is faster.


I'm rooting for Cotto though. He has a great chin, solid defense, and he doesn't come straight forward like Hatton did. It will definitely be a competitive fight that could go the distance.

 

Delusional because we support the number 1 p4p boxer in the world. Whats your credibility? I bet you never stepped inside a boxing ring or even come close to a real fight sissy boy.

 

Nobody writes top-class fighters off just like that. Cotto has his chances like Joshua Clottey would have in case he had been in the right side of the decision last sat nite. Happens that there are reasons that make Pacquiao's people choose Cotto and that has to do with the Promoter Bob Arum, to Cotto's last performance and many details in Cotto's boxing approach. Cotto is no scientifical technical boxer, he's mainly a furious aggressor who is an educated and hard puncher and a very strong welterweight... Manny's skill is surely above Cotto's and his combination of reflexes, intense and wild blazing, footwoork and smooth punching make him a favorite for that one. Now, can Cotto KO Pac? Sure, he can like Hatton could.

 

cotto vs pac will be a tough fight for both fighters. I hope cotto's team doesn't agree to any less than 145 lbs. Cotto's chin may become a bit suspect around 140. In any case, no easy fight. And I really think cotto can beat pac, escpecially above 145.

 

1) PAC never underestimates anybody
2) PAC loves challenges. PAC loves taking risks.
3) PAC vs Cotto IS NOT A WALK IN THE PARK both for pac and cotto
4) I believe PAC can manage an UPSET win over Cotto

One difference between PAC and PBF. While BOTH are undoughtedly GREAT FIGHTERS!

PAC willing to take MORE RISKS than PBF!

 

Would not be easy at all only due to cotto's size.. But thats the only thing thats getting the way of the word "easy"

 

I know Cotto caught everything Zab plus Shane plus Clottey threw at him, exception made to Margarito round 11, but it's hard to imagine Miguel Cotto fighting with the same intensity Manny Pacquiao does. So it's Cotto catching wild attacks and expecting his opponent to punch himself out? Cause Cotto doesn't have the mobility to charge and catch Pacquiao, let's be real about this!
