I think it is a fight between two well matched fighters in the top 10 at ww. But i think it could be a stinker to watch with a lot of holding and clinching, hope im proved wrong

    Its a good fight

    Tough fight for both guys

Whichever way you look at it, its two contenders fighting each other for a chance at a title. Absolutley nothing wrong with that!!

Id pick Khan with speed and workrate but Alexander could outstrength Khan so id say its a real pick em fight.

It's a decent match up but it was a better fight last year before Khan side stepped Alexander in the false belief he would secure a fight with Mayweather and Alexander lost to Porter.

But yes a true boxing fan, not simply a fan of fighters should appreciate what looks like a competitive fight.

I disagree about Khan being a good boxer and giving us good fights when he leads. Other than his last fight he has always shown an inability to master the subtle art of boxing and has simply lived off of his raw speed and always led when fighting. Don't be fooled by his running off the back foot, when he stops moving he always instigates the attack, he would never counter, never punish his opponents for his mistakes, he was all talent and no craft.

But he looked much better in his last fight. He showed he could counter, lead with the right hand to be less predictable, clinch effectively and even fight reasonably well when in close. If Khan can show the same improvements against Alexander, I'm certain he'll win comfortably.

Interessting post and i agree with you. Khan might not have the same confidence or the same lighting speed like 3 years ago, but skill wise and mentally i feel he have improved. Khan showed that he has a champions heart and can bounce back from defeats.

A minority of boxing poster just love to criticise some boxers for whatever path they take. Some on here were saying Khan needs to fight someone credible in the welterweight division and ideally someone in the top ten, well he's doing just that and it doesn't get much more credible than Alexander.

Good post. Refreshing to see that Hunter's work isn't going unnoticed by some.

What the hell? People declining this to be a bad fight is the same as not agreeing to the ocean being the colour blue.

They're two good boxers, quite evenly matched, let's wait and see. I think it will be decent.

I agree it should be a great fight one long over due because it was suppose to happen about two years ago.

I like the fight. Realistically Khan needs to take and win, or lose a fight like this before he even thinks about Manny or Floyd. You don't go into those fights unless firing on all cylinders. Or you just wasted a big fight slot which are disappearing quickly. I want him to use the last two slots on Pacman myself. His name is Money why not chase after the biggest money like he claims Pac is? It's called prize fighting.

If Khan wins, he stays the frontrunner for the May fight; if Alexander wins, Khan falls by the wayside and Danny "Swift" Garcia becomes the frontrunner for the May fight and Brook/Khan/Thurman/Guerrero size up a Jan/Feb date to try and knock Garcia off.

Danny Garcia still has one fight to get by (a Garcia-Peterson unification fight or Garcia-Lopez/Guerrero @147 are the likely types of fights being sized up), so things are likely still in flux.

If Khan and Garcia both lose, …

Good competitive fight. Hard to envision the winner. There should be more of these even match-ups.
