If you think Margarito is innocent how do you explain the picture?

Of course it was, but if you look at Cotto going into the 9th in the first fight, his face wasn't that bad off either, the majority of the horrible damage occurred in the 10th and the 11th. Look at his face going into the 10th, I timestamped it for you.

Now of course, clearly Margarito had an uphill battle, since Cotto boxed a far more intelligent fight the second time around, turning Tony instead of standing right in front of him back peddling. And in all likelihood Cotto would have won a 116-112 type decision, I'm merely stating the fact that Margarito started wrecking him late, and tore his face apart in the last two rounds, Cotto's face in the 9th of each match was in similar shape. That is all. Of course all of the Tony haters cling to the fact that the fight was stopped in the 9th, two rounds earlier than the first, in a match that Cotto had a target to tee off on and make Tony apprehensive, and fought in a more defensive fashion therefore limiting the amount of flush connects from Tony, yet Cotto's face still looked about the same in the first and second fight, in the 9th round. But the Tony haters tend to want to ignore all the genuine variables that were the real reason why Cotto didn't take that much damage, because it helps them push their Margarito bashing narrative.

Its almost as if they want to convince themselves of it as well, since any fan with a few functioning brain cells know that not every rematch plays out in a similar fashion. Real evidence that Tony had handwraps would be if he KO'd Cotto cold in the first round, as opposed to the reality of him making non stop contact for 11 rounds before Cotto, who kind of fought a stupid match, finally succumbed to his pressure and volume, and late became a defenseless sitting target for flush shots. Even though he didn't have as many connects in the rematch, late he was still busting Cotto up.

Bracero KO'd O'Conner cold, Ottke KO'd Mundine cold, crazy **** happens in this sport, how about Lujan sucks, tends to lead with the top of his head, making the top of his ears a ready target and shouldn't have been sharing the ring with a guy levels above him, in the first place.

I think Mosley was the harder puncher. look at the way he got rid of mayorga compared to Cotto

when they fought Mosley seemed the harder puncher and had cotto on the run late

one question: who of you guys, are boxing as a hobby? i am asking because, if you put something hard in or on your gloves and you connect a good punch, your hands would be demolished and done for a very long time.
maybe i am a stupid german, but i didnt get the whole context. the claims are unrealistic if you know what happens when you land a solid punch on a hard surface.

The way the cheat would work is that a previously used insert would be placed over hands that are already protected by wraps. Said insert would be already packed in and therefore a little harder than normal. One punch (or even several punches) wouldn't be likely to wreck the puncher's hands but would have an increased chance of doing more damage to an opponent, especially over the long haul.

What that cheating scumbag did was the modern equivalent of what Luis Resto did to Billy Collins Jr.

At least that cheating scumbag was given his just deserts by Sugar shane and Cotto in the rematch, where his power mysteriously deserted him.

That POS is renown for it but the CSAC are also to blame for not asking Richardson " Where did those "Paster Blocks" go. I asked but the coward just walked away
