why is it sad? if pac has money, he wouldn't have been a boxer at all. he fought to earn the bucks. any fighter who fights for honor alone is a fool. honor won't feed him especially when he retires a beaten man, those fans would completely forget about him. MONEY is what drives this profession.

Whats the big deal? Seems perfectly logical. Plenty of people thought Pac wouldn't be able to beat Hatton let alone DLH when the topic came up, don't see what the problem is.

Its actually a winnable fight with a big payday.

pac moving is showing us how its done in the old days of boxing when a fighter moves one or two full divisions north to challenge a bigger opponent. one year ago, say something like pac would fight hatton and you'd get blasted as a big nuthugger with no knowledge on boxing. now its the fight everyone expects

i can't blame any fighters for wanting the biggest payday of their career. those who are criticizing pacquiao for abandoning the lightweight should first think as if they are on pac's shoes.

Couldn't have said it better. The bottomline here folks is just accept that all boxers, including your favorite fighter, fights for MONEY. But no, many people here stubbornly refuse to believe that and automatically label a boxer fighting for money a "cherry-picker". COMPLETELY refusing to acknowledge that fighting for money is NOT necessarily a cowardly thing to do because it all depends on the level of the opponent. If your fighting a stronger guy or a guy heavily favored to beat you for the money, then by all means do it. What exactly is wrong with it? Atleast your fighting as the UNDERDOG, not the other way around.

Now like Pacquiao, JMM is now going after the big money as well. And I'm not gonna condemn him for it unlike most of you here who would surely do. I'm gonna support him for that. Although I don't necessarily agree with it just like I don't agree in Pac fighting DLH because I don't want to see 2 of my favorite fighters get beaten. That's the ONLY reason why I have been in disagreement about Pac-DLH, and now JMM-Hatton. Its not about them going for the big money, its just that I don't want them to lose, period! But if they really want to go for the big money(as the underdog) then obviously I can't do anything about it. I'll just support them. :deal
