Many here on esb (theres a thread about it), other boxing forums, boxing writers, former fighters gave Hatton a chance to beat Pacquiao saying Hatton being the bigger fighter and his in your face style would be a huge problems for Pacquiao.

40/40 with 20 to the winner is the way it should be but wont happen. 50/50 is legit.

IMO 50/50 is what it should be as of now.

but we'll see when the smoke clears and the final #'s are out for mayweather-marquez :smoke

    6. Real boxing fans knows Mayweather vs Marquez is a mismatch to say the least but if it did atleast 400k it be way more impressive then Pacquiao vs Marquez rematch that also did 400k.[/quote]

This got me laughing! Haha that was PAC pre-Hoya. If PBF-JMM does 400k buys that's just s smoking gun that Floydie can't draw flies. Especially since JMM should be bigger now with two exciting matches in Diaz and Casamayor. Plus PBF's exposure with Hatton and DLH.

Anyway none of you guys seems to use statistics and trend analysis so lets analyze a bit...

    PBF-Hoya 2.4 m Pac-Hoya 1.2 M
    PBF-Hatton 920K Pac-Hatton 850K

Yup PBF's sales is definitely bigger. But what about this:

PBF lost 1.480 M (62%) buys. Pac lost 350 K (30%) buys. Urghhhhh............PBF lost more than he ratined buyers! Now that's trending. Meaning of the exposures both fighters got when fighting DLH, Pac retained the most buyers. Of course the 3rd fight will really determine if both fighters will be able to INCREASE their following as they are basically doing it alone now. Let's look at the trend......

PBF-JMM....hmmmm warning signs are there. I think it will do at least 600K.

Pac-Cotto.....anticipated fight. Only a blind hugger could deny that this fight is what's got the boxing world a-buzzz. At the very least i thing 800K.

The very significant variable here is that Pac-Cotto has the possibility to do 1M buys while I can't' foresee PBF-JMM to do 800k. I need not point out to the endorsement/awards for each fighter but the trend is very clear that Pac is gathering momentum and PBF is losing his stride. It simply boils down to style. Pac's the type that can convert casual fan into his fan with his exciting fights, so he's likely watch his next fight against lesser known opponent. PBF just simply isn't that great to watch for casual fans and will likely lose a buyer in his next fight.

dude, dont feed them trending and analysis. let them have their opinions on blinded numbers. time will come if ever pac-pbf starts to negotiate for the purse split.

No doubt. i dont know why some knuckleheads get into heated discussions about what money should the fighters get when they will not recive any of it.

Yes we SHOULDN'T care abt it but when a fighter makes it an excuse to duck another worthy fighter, then it's time to pull the rug on his claims.
