Good stoppage. No doubt. Marquez was punching back but not with the power needed to change the fight. I would stop either way around. Both guys hit too hard not to stop it. I mean both have monster punches they are 122 pounds ****ing showing more power then ****ing heavier fighters. I mean, you feel that ****...

 

YES I saw the marquez corner throw in the TOWEL ! Did anyone else notice the only one complaining was Rafael himself and not anyone IN HIS CORNER...

I wanna see part 3. I think Marq can win, but he needs to keep the fight in the center of the ring. He cannot let Vas get inside. Gotta jab and counter with the right when Vas tries to throw that left hook. He's still quicker, but has to make use of it.

 

Might have been a slightly premature stoppage based on the fact that Marquez was not out on his feet and was punching back a few seconds earlier.

I did however see the towel come in late, don't know for sure if it was Marquez's corner quitting or Vazquez's corner already celebrating.

That said, Vazquez had been the better man from the moment he put Marquez on his ass and was most likely going to stop Rafa within a few rounds.

Rafa had rubber legs for the 5th and 6th rounds and Vazquez was punching hard.

 

Wasn't that from the hard camera? If so, it means it was from the corner of Vasquez. he was in the bottom right, Marquez was in the top left, and the shirt/towel, landed on the bottom right corner.

It may not have been the hard camera, but I thought it was at the time. I'll have to download it tommorow.

And I also thought it was quite a while after the fight was done/ if it was thrown in to stop it, the person chucking it probably would have known it was stopped already.

I think it was from the Vazquez corner in celebration or something. I'll rewatch the footage though.

 

i wanted marquez to win but hats off to vasquez, i think the ref may have stopped it a bit early, but it wasnt a horrible stoppage. I thought the fight should have been stopped for the sake of both fighters
