will you recommend for them to watch? 1. Kelly Pavlik 2. Joe Calzaghe 3. Bernard Hopkins 4. Juan Diaz 5. Joan Guzman 6. Antonio Margarito 7. Juan Manuel Marquez 8. Jermain Taylor 9. Jorge Linares 10. Joshua Clottey
Wrong on most of them, if you want to convince people someone is great, don't show them great match ups, SHOW THEM GREAT BEATDOWNS. Something like Hopkins vs. Lipsey. Then they will see how good Bernard was. Or Marquez vs. some guy he fought after John. He destroyed so bad in such a beautiful way, that you'd think he is Sugar Ray Robinson. Showing Bernard fight De La hoya is a disgrace. Andrey
You'd think that would be the case. But if you are trying to get someone into boxing, showing fight w/ big names ala' Hopkins' v. DLH wouldn't do it because, because it's the fight you want them to see, not the names. Names only mean something to mainstream fans or the press. When introducing a non-fan to a fighter, you want them to be piqued and interested.
1. Kelly Pavlik (Taylor, Miranda, Zertuche) 2. Joe Calzaghe (Kessler, Lacy, Mitchell) 3. Bernard Hopkins (Trinidad, DLH, Echols II) 4. Juan Diaz (Diaz, Freitas, Cotto) 5. Joan Guzman (Soto, Barrios, Sanchez) 6. Antonio Margarito (Lewis, Cintron, Lujan-rippin someones ear off should do the trick) 7. Juan Manuel Marquez- (Medina, Barrera, Jaca) 8. Jermain Taylor (Eduoard, Joppy, Ouma)
I bet a guy like Izzy Vazquez would attract a lot of fans as well if you were to show the casual fan his three fights with Rafa Marquez or his fight with Gonzales or Larios II.
