The thing is I believe that no one sets out wanting to cheat. They dedicate most of their lives to the sport and dream of being a champion, except when they get to the top they find out that most of these guys are on one thing or another and they feel that in order to compete they need to join them.

That's something that comes up a lot when you read accounts of people who have been buested in the past. Well, the ones who don't deny it or claim it was an accident.

No, not specifically Larry - I'm asking because this is the kind of situation that faces most top athletes, not just fighters. Sure, there'll always be people who will cheat because they'll do anything to be the best, but then there's those who face this dilemma.

As for there being 'no top athletes', it reminds me of something Victir Conte said about athletics. He was asked what we have to do to completely eradicate doping and make the sport clean, and he said that in some respects it would be a disaster.

He said that people don't want to tune in to the Olympic 100m final and see the winner run a 10.3. They tune in to see records broken, and if you want to get rid of the drugs then you need to wipe the record book and start again.

I guess the point is that even most if these guys weren't on anything then they'd still be elite athletes - but their bodies would give out on them a lot sooner and they would lack something.

It's such a blurry line, mate. I don't know. I keep hearing "they're on it", but how much is 'they'? 10, 20, 50 percent of the fighters out there? If it's a low percentage, then the decision to not take PEDs will be a lot easier. I'd rather be in the majority that's clean, rather than the minority that are cheating themselves and the sport.

  7. I would get straight in touch with my Manager and Promoters and make very clear that I want a different opponent. Otherwise your options are A) Get your ass beat by the Hulk or B) Juice yourself and risk getting caught and banned

**** that. Let the media say I'm scared... its better than an unnatural undeserved ass beating, and its better than being in the current shoes of someone like Lamont Cheaterson.
