If you was in Froch's shoes would you bother fighting James DeGale next?

Froch wants to do a fight in Vegas. Kessler v Froch ain't big enough for Vegas, nor is probably Ward v Froch, and Ward will price himself out of it, asking for $83 million or such nonsense.

HBO have said Froch-GGG is not PPV and GGG will only move up for PPV, Chavez Jr looks to have taken himself out of the running, so that's why I think they should be considering Hopkins, should he survive Kovalev in one piece.

Hops probably won't do it. He's said many times he wants to unify the belts. They'd have to dangle a lot of money in front of him.

That's why I said after the Kovalev fight:

If he loses then that dream is pretty much over.

If he wins, then Stevenson will still duck him.

He mentioned following the Kovalev announcement that Stevenson would not necessarily be next because he may consider dropping to 168 or 160:

Interesting. I'd love to see Hops slap Froch around.

Hopkins isn't up his own arse as much as Ward and knows that to make big fights there needs to be a bit of give and take, thus if he so Froch as the best possible option he'd probably offer to drop in weight or come to the UK.

Oh, I doubt he'd be foolish enough to come to the UK where the judges saw Froch beat Dirrell. Maybe they could do it in Vegas since Froch wants to fight there.

Hopkins is not scared of traveling, he went to Canada twice to face Pascal, and was going to fight Stevenson there. And Froch did beat Dirrell. They wasn't in a running contest, they was in a boxing match. I remember listening to a podcast years back where Hopkins said it was a close fight that could've gone either way

Regarding Hops traveling to Canada: Yeah, but I think its a different culture, you know those crazy Brits would show up to Mars if a sportsman of theirs was competing there, so I think a judges are a bit more under the influence there (and I think the Dirrell fight testifies to that).

Regarding the Dirrell fight: Gimme a break, huh?

Froch won. Deal with it. It wasn't like one of those fights where 100% score it for one guy, it was a close fight and Froch got the decision. Plenty of ringside media scored it for Froch.

Im sure Hearn could whip the British public into a frenzy and make this another huge fight.

DeGale and Froch would do their ticket selling shtick of who is the most dislikeable person and it'll sell big,and maybe even make Sky PPV

Froch - Degale is a fight I would watch, I think it would also be a good payday. Saying that it doesn't enhance Froch unless Degale goes on to a HOF which is ambitious at this stage.

No point him fighting Degale. It's a high risk/low reward fight. If the Chavez fight doesn't materialise then a possible Hops fight in Vegas is a possible goer. Not sure the Ward one will work as the first fight was clearly won by Ward and it'll probably go the same way in a similarly unexciting way.

Personally i'd like him to go up in weight and challenge Stevenson. That would do good PPV numbers and he'd get good money in Canada.
