Beterbiev as long as the fight is not next! Artur needs more experience. But it seems like they really want to make it in order to protect Stevenson. They want to sacrifice they're guy with more potential and not give him a chance to properly develop instead of sacrificing an old guy with no more to offer in this sport.

I would love to see Sergey knock Ward out. :D

He's definitely not in Mohammedi's class

Cant believe so many think Ward actually has a chance against KRUSHER

That's basically saying Ward goes the full 12 without being hit once :tired

I would give Ward a chance if the fight does happen because we all know the terms-

    1- Oakland
    2- 168.1 catchweight with a 175 rehydration clause
    3- Pillow gloves
    4- Giant ring
    5- Mike Chioda as ref
6- No PED testing allowed on Ward, full testing on Kovalev.

And Ward is getting a 90/10 split.

    Why is Krusher ducking? :huh

Ward is basically the only fighter I really don't like. I respect that he's a family man and well spoken, but he's so delusional and his style is horrible. A lot of dirty tactics to win.

The only thing that worries me is that Kathy Duva would get man-handled on the negotiation table. You can't let Ward fight in Oakland and get a referee that favors him. Kovalev needs someone else besided Duva.

Ward comes out undefeated I think...in a very tactical affair. And Beterbiev may stop the "Krusher." I'd give Stevenson a good chance of stopping Kovalev. He has some thump and could walk Kovalev into it. But, I don't think his leaky defense will protect his questionable chin the whole night. I think Kovalev handles the Cuban. But, he will struggle in the process.

He's a guy who's gone from being one of my favourite fighters to my least favourites in the last few years.

I seriously cannot believe a guy who seems to be as intelligent as him is that deluded about how big his fanbase is and I think the demands he makes are his way of ducking fights. GGG is giving him a taste of his own medicine with the 164 catchweight. They know the only way the fight happens is on Ward's terms.

Yeah, that's weird. He comes off as a pretty intelligent guy but his delusion is crazy. He said he felt he was treated unfairly in the Super Six. Like WTF, he's the only one that didn't travel to a foreign country and most of his fights took place in California.
Kovalev and team better not give Ward any advantage when they get into negotiations even if they are super confident.

I read some people wanting Kovalev to go with Ryabinsky and Hyrunov (I believe that's their names), I'm not even sure if that's possible but anything would be better than staying with Duva imo.

Ward's fans are called his disciples.

Not because he's called Son of God

Because he only has 12 followers.

Ward needs to take a page out of Sergio Martinez' book when he was a p4p top fighters and struggled to get big fights because he didn't have the draw- give the bigger names the lion's share- and hence Chavez Jr and Cotto fighting him.

    Hahaha that's a good one.
I just read that there is a possibility Kovalev's fight in Russia could be co-promoted with "World of Boxing" (I believe that's Ryabinsky's company). That's what Sergey needs, a potential co-promoter like Ryabinsky so Roc Nation won't own the negotiation table.
Imagine Ward having to fight in Russia
