If you were a pro boxer would you rather have

    1) glass chin but crazy athleticism, elusiveness and footwork, you develop some point fighting defensive strategy but you have a pathetic chin that is even worse than Amir Khan and more fragile than the finest Cuban glass. You have good technical boxing and know all the tricks and intricacies of the game. You also perform some crazy matrix **** at times. Your fans like you for your elusive escapes, boxing clinics and defensive showboating but your haters constantly post gifs of you doing chicken dances all over the ring and getting knocked out in spectacular fashion in rare fights you got caught. Your first loss is in a tune up fight where you take showboating too far and you get caught with some half-assed weak punch which is so pathetic that people think that you're still showboating and faking a chicken dance before you get finished and get the reputation of having a complete china chin. You come back and still win fights though by being more careful but there are fights where you just get KOd stiff because it's just so hard to protect that fragile mandible all the time. You still get a lot of respect for your technical boxing and athleticism.

    2) iron chin but you're stiff like a board and slow, you have some decent power, great cardio and basically can't be knocked out (not even knocked down) but you're just a predictable come forward plodder. You have a lot of fans since you basically want to turn every fight into a bloody brawl but you have some haters who are constantly predicting everyone even half-decent to UD you easily even though you generally win those fights by walking through punches like a zombie and butchering your opponents eventually when they fold mentally because you keep going forward. You do have some losses though which are embarrassing 118-110 type of decisions against elite boxers where you hit air all night and look like you never boxed beyond club fighter level, people think you're a one trick pony but still give you respect for your wins.

In both cases you have a similar quality of resume, fringe HoF candidate, 45-5-ish record, some great wins.

What kind of legacy would you rather have?

Even if option 1 means you're some crazy athletic matrix elusive fighter?

This. But its kind of a stupid thread to be honest. Good idea but shouldve put a little more thought and coherency into it.

There are no concrete examples, it's just a question of whether it's better to have an iron chin but being a limited boxer or a technical and athletic boxer with a complete glass chin.

It's basically just exaggerated version, but you could imagine option 1 being a mixture of Rigo, Lara, Amir Khan, Roy Jones Jr. and maybe someone like that Cuban gold medalist Julio Cesar la Cruz but with a really bad chin and option 2 being a mixture of Margarito, Gatti, Wach, Provodnikov, GGG (but without the technical mastery) with an iron chin.

Not by default. A few concussions can also give you brain damages just as well.

It depends on the boxer and what hes made of.

Option 2 because you know you have to be getting into your opponents head knowing nothing he can do could seriously hurt you. He'd actually believe your Jason Voorhees with boxing gloves. It doesn't matter if you're slow as molasses hit the body and the head will fall. Pressure and make the guy punch himself out, hitting to the shoulders, arms, neck, etc opponents will be aching for a week.
