4 hours from Michigan to Montreal (assuming it's in Montreal, since that's basically the only place in Canada that hosts fights, and it's BOXING MAD!)?!?! LOL! Maybe if you drove 160 MPH. . It's 4 hours to Toronto from Detroit if you go 80-85. . . It's 8 hours to Montreal with no stops, going 80+. . .

1500 for fight purse (Of course, I'll pay my team out of this).

You pay for 3 nights at a hotel of your choice (NO NEGOTIATING ON THIS!) I need to be there the DAY BEFORE THE WEIGH-IN, at latest!

You pay for/set up van rental. . You reimburse me for gas, food (up to 150 dollars), and set up a gym for me. . . Remember, I'm going to be there the day BEFORE the weigh-in, so I'll very much have need for a heavybag, and especially double end bag to really put my finishing touches on precision/combinations. . Treadmill/sauna to lose final pounds for weigh-in. Certainly as a big-time promotor, you have many connects with local boxing gyms/gyms, so this shouldn't even cost you anything but a phone call.

So if I get injured bad enough, and have to stay in a hospital overnight, I'm going to be stuck with a medical bill that could very likely be in the tens of thousands?! NO THANKS! Usually this is mandatory for an entire fight card anyway, so just add my name to the list. . .

My final offer. . . If you want me bad enough, you'll make these accomodations. . . If not, find a local prospect, or another idiot willing to risk paying more than he's making to come to your backyard!

Oh yeah! WHO IS HEADLINING THE CARD?! What is the main event?! This could have a lot to do with me accepting on unfair terms - if it's a highly anticipated/popular fight/fighter, then i'm more likely to be seen by more people, and if I have a highlight reel type KO, it'll be featured on the news, youtube, etc. . . EX: if it's on HBO/SHowtime, they will feature KO's from the untelevised undercard sometimes (if they're flashy/brutal enough)! Also give me a chance to network with bigwigs, etc. . . .

breaking everything down involved (with-in reason) this is what you would have made from the fight.

when this fight was proposed it was the year 2000, I will gauge everything from that in the figures in this part.

    2000
    $1500 purse
    -$600 foriegn exchange rate.
    -$360 taxes
    -$75 passport
    -$150 Canadian professional boxers license.
    -$150 corner man/cutman
    -$125 travel/food

your profit for the fight: $50 U.S dollars in 2000.

    2012
    $1500 purse
    -$30 foriegn exchange rate.
    -$600 taxes
    -$75 passport
    -$150 Canadian professional boxers license.
    -$150 corner man/cutman
    -$125 travel/food

    you would have cleared $370.

In the year 2000 if you didn't stipulate the purse in american or canadian dollars you would have F****D yerself. you only lost $30 in the year 2012 because you failed to stipulate american or canadian currency.

in this situation iI was dealing with Harry Spitzer. I must say that Spitzer was an extremely honorable business man and was very accomodating to those that he dealt with. the opponent was one Gaeton Hart, a canadian tough guy and the fight was slated for the forum. I worked it out to an $1800 contract with all expenses, including canadian boxing license, with a one night stay.

I really wish that I excepted the fight. Not because Hart was ko'd in the 3rd round by a limited fighter but because I had the girl of my dreams agreeing to drive me up to the fight and to stay the night and such. unfortunately I was injured during traing and had to pull out.

everythings better with a bag of weed.........

when it takes a week or even months to fully recover from whatever injuries you might have sustained that $50 won't seem like it was worth it, win or lose you'll come out banged up. Plus consider the gas money spent getting to and from training, gym dues, etc. in the real world you would feel slighted.

So, you could have been the one to retire a 47-year-old Hart?

That guy was a very interesting character. Did you see the awesome documentary on his life called ''Le Steak''? It's a ****ing classic! Even if you don't understand French (it's that good).

I saw a short piece on him that was in French but had sub-titles. I knew little about him except that he had previously fought Pryor for the title. From the piece he seemed like a good guy.
