Which promoter would you go through to get you the biggest fights possible, get hosed the least on promotion fees, and show you proper respect through the media and behind closed doors. Don King-he has the most experience and probally the biggest name still in promotion. **** that fossil though, his time in the game is up and he screw his fighters royally. Bob Arum- Meh, Arum has a pretty big name but seems to overprotect his biggest name fighters a bit too much. Very hesitant to get them in the ring with the big boys unless he is cashing them out. Gary Shaw-Can be a stubborn ***** just like Arum but I have been really impressed with the fights he has been getting Darchinyan lately. Oscar De La Hoya-New to the promotion game but Oscar seems to treat the fighters well and he is trying to establish himself and bring the big fights to the big names. They are all shady but I would probally go with Oscar. He seems to have the least amount of dirt on him.
When Oscar, Shane, and Hopkins stop competing with their fighters for the big fights I would go with them but imagine you're a Cotto and two of your bosses are trying to squeeze themselves in where you should be. Right now I'd say Arum but he will only take you so far before he ends up in your way. Golden Boy Promotion might get alot better once Hoya goes full time promotor.
