If you were a young fighter which British promoter would you go with?

An interesting question I was thinking about the other day after the whole faffing around with Nathan Cleverley's next fight and ****** having to negotiate with the WBO.

Out of the following as an up and coming fighter starting off in the pro's who would you choose to have promote you?

The older generation the likes of ****** and Moloney with their years of experience or the younger generation like Hearn and Hatton?

Maybe with the terrestrial TV right's that Hennesey has would be a good option?

I know the bottom line is a case that 99% of the time if you're good enough then you'll make it regardless but who do you rate and who don't you rate in the world of the money men and match makers?

Personally I'd go for Hearn, he seems to be young and with a breath of fresh air and always seems to be actively helping and promoting his fighters, where as ****** and Moloney (with the exception of David Price) seem to be on the decline IMO.

for some reason its blocked out franks surname, that was helpful!

  3. Hearn.

They actually promote you, and you get paid.

As opposed to fighting on a micky mouse channel, and not getting paid with Allegedly or having to play 2nd fiddle to whoever is flavour of the month at the time.

Maloney is on his way out, Hennessy doesn't have the clout and the Hatton's are new to the business, but have made a good start it has to be said.

If Fat Mick had more regular dates on Channel 5 it would be him for the terrestrial exposure, at least to start with. Matchroom definitely seem to be the best option right now.

Me too. Sounds easier work and I'm not really a world class fighter.

Theres a reason why FW doesn't put these guys into "proper" world title fights.....most of them arn't good enough. They are Euro level fighters but most people would rather see shitty, plastic world title fights than Euro title fights so thats what they are served up.

Probably Eddie Hearn. If you'd asked me a couple years ago I would've said allegedly but these days with boxnation, and fighters not getting paid, Eddie Hearn is the main man, getting his fighters opportunities against the best fighters.

Mick Hennesy seems like a nice chap though:lol:

Eddie Hearn, Dave Coldwell seems to be a promoter with abit of ambition as well.
