It seems there is a good chance both Kell Brook and Luis Collazo will miss out on a big-fight opportunity next year. As fans have read by now, Khan has been offered a March shot at WBO welterweight king Terence Crawford, I feel this is a miss match and that Khan should prove himself against the power of Brook before facing a deadly fighter like Crawford, who is better than anyone Khan has ever lost to, would Crawford finish Khan quicker than Canelo did and should Amir fight Brook first anyway?
Dare to be great! I've been a massive critic of Khan over recent years but he gets full credit for this.
Crawford should be fighting Thurman or Spence first and Khan should have to be No.1 contender for Crawford`s title before he gets a shot because he`s done nothing to deserve this shot.
I think i agree with you i think, iam a crawford fan and a kahn fan this fight shouldnt be happening, this isnt a manditory this is a voluntary defence but crawford should be using his voluntary to fight build up to fighting the big names, he walks through kahn and gains nothing. Good post tho
Khan has balls. Brook is a much easier fight and likely bigger pay day but a win over Crawford would be much bigger, credit to him to take that challenge.
If Khan were KOed by Brook, which would be the probable outcome, it would be embarrassing for him since both are British and Brook isn't an elite fighter. But Amir can go and get KOed by a highly-regarded American boxer like Crawford and it won't be so bad for him.
Brook. Then if he beats Brook go for Crawford. He has been inactive. I think Brook might be too sharp for him now.
I'd fight Brook because it's a mega fight for the UK and people there have wanted it for years. Those two have unfinished business.
Personally I think he has a better chance and makes more money v Brook. He has a title on the line and a win over Crawford would be better for his legacy. I don't however give Khan against Crawford, he'll get starched unconscious in three as he looked completely shot against Vargas. I'd be more interested to see Crawford v Brook and think that would be more interesting though Brook probably loses an eye in it. If they don't do Kahn v Brook next it doesn't get made. I think they are pushing it as is and the demand for it has been wiltering for a couple of years now, either one gets starched and it's over. I think another incentive for Khan to fight Brook is if he doesn't he will be pulled on it for the rest of his life as a high majority think he is ducking him already.
Khan would have had a better chance at beating brook than Crawford, and make more money in the process. Khan will do good against Crawford early, but will eventually get sparked out cold.
Depends on the money. He and Brook can fight in 2022 and it'd sell. Unfortunate, but true. The milking continues. EDIT: Of course, credit to Khan for taking the much harder fight.
