A 20 years old foreman had more things in common with dempsey than a simpleton like you could imagine. 1 word. Savage.

I remember a the ring magazine "is george foreman the new jack dempsey?"

I can imagine that you are a poor 5'6 midget

Bit of a cross between james Toney and Tommy Hearns i'm 6'4" 170lbs. I use a lot of footwork like a willie pep and change stances quite a bit.

To be fair F&D, 'savage' is an adjective rather than a 'thing' - a description which could be applied to various styles. Hearns, Greb, Duran, Monzon might all be deemed 'savage' but even a simpleton like me knows their styles are very different.

i'm just trying to get my head round whether you're a fast bobbing weaving, bending at the waist Dempsey type or a plodding stand up straight Foreman. Again, even a simpleton like me can spot the difference.

You keep on imagining what I look like. It'll give your mind a break from thinking about your athletic 6'1", muscular self.

    And 5'6" doesn't make anyone a midget.

ONE thing is sure.. You never ever did box. You are the classic freak who make the ****ysis from the closed and limited point of view of a fan watching from his tv. It is not just black or white. For example lewis had things of foreman and things of ali. 2 completely different styles. So tell me how is difficult having a mix of things of a young foreman and dempsey uh? Two brawlers

So they were both brawlers. Fair enough. As you say, I never(,) ever did box so don't really know enough to drill down to such detail.

Classic freak, eh? You're very angry, aren't you? You sure you're not repressing anything?

Sorry F&D. I can't let this go. This incorporating a bit of the styles of Foreman and Dempsey. I am having difficulty getting my head round how you do it.

So when you box do you stand up straight like Foreman, throwing the jab and pushing the opponent back and - just when everyone is expecting a big looping right, a wide hook to the ribs and a big right uppercut - do you suddenly bend at the waist, weave in and throw fast, short left hooks from underneath? So you box like the taller and shorter boxer simultaneously?

I suppose with your athletic 6'1", 206lb body you can do anything. I wouldn't know being a 'classic freak' and '5'6" midget'.

I had a really good jab, a decent left hook and pretty much no right hand to speak of. I was quick and took an adequate punch, but honestly not much power to speak of, even when I planted my feet and set down on my punches. It's why I never went pro because I would have been cannon fodder for any top 30 contender at Jr. Middle/Middle. Or at the very least I would have had to take a lot of punishment in the process.

So perhaps I would have been a 6'1 154 lbs version of Virgil Hill?

I'm like a shirtless Dempsey coverd in coal dirt, sweat dripping from my left cheek. I cook a mean Cassoulet too. Send nudes if you're lonely.

Nobody here would do much except flail wildly in the manner of drunken basketball players. If you were any good we'd be talking about you here.
