    What tactics would you employ?
How would you go about fighting mayweather?
Work behind that jab? Look for the body left hook? Be on ur toes?

My personal take is he is a massive underdog and his only chance is to work mayweather with his jab, get him on the ropes and really work his body!! He needs to be either working that jab or in close to have any chance!

Jab, Bodyshots and pound away at the ropes.

Hope that Mayweather is the aggressor.

Start slow, pick up the pace as the fight goes on. Don't pull a Mosley and dump all of your adrenaline in two rounds.

swing for the fences in round 1, then sit back round 2, then hope floyd starts to push, and rip into his ribs (while trying to not eat clean shots)

Mimic Floyd. Copy his moves - the way he flicks his jab, movement, defence etc and see how he counters you.

Then wait till he makes the same moves and counter him the same way and apply even more pressure.

Worked for me a few times when I used to spar.

exactly. score witht he jab, try to pressure. body shots all day and even punch on the arms, shoulder, a lil bit of dirty tactics, just rough floyd up and make him feel uncomfortable.

Cotto has not got a chance in hell, unless either:
    a) Mayweather has slowed down with Age
    b) Mayweather is massively overrated as a welterweight and has managed to cherrypick and create an illusion of his greatness.

Sadly i believe neither of these to be true. And when you get a fight where one fighter is better than the other fighter boxing from long range, mid range, and fighting in the pocket, has better stamina to go 12 rounds, and the weaker boxer doesn't have one punch KO power. I really don't see how cotto has any chance what so ever.

Unless option a or b appear to be true. But i doubt it personally.

Sorry Cotto, Your better than Ortiz but even he had a better chance than you do against floyd. Even the Mosley and DeLahoya that floyd fought had a better chance. Even Amir Khan and Peterson and Bradey have a better chance. I honestly see nothing in Cotto's arsenal that makes me think he has a chance in hell.

    I hope i'm wrond though.

But still if you were him, what would do!?!? Lol he's come to win even if he knows he's got virtually no chance!

    :yep pretty much.

Cotto should stick with what has always worked best for him. Box a good bit while throwing hard and fast.

****, he gonna be losin' rounds anyways so he might even want to just whack Floyd in the balls like he did Zab a time or two. He's gonna have to be like "**** It", cause if he's in there thinking too hard that will get him tore up against Floyd too.

EDIT: I hadn't gotten to your post yet Captain...haha.
