in my opinion i feel Margarito cheated in the first fight and i wouldn't fight margarito again, as this would give him an undeserved paycheque.

so simple question: If you were cotto, would you fight Margarito again and why?

no....if he feels he cheating, like you said....why give him a paycheck while cotto is still a a name and can make $

if you feel he didn't cheat and he just beat the **** out of you, well...not sure much would change the next time around

Yes I would if I was him.

Although I think Marg should have had at least a longer punishment, now he's back he has the chance to right the wrong.
Even if Margarito turns out not to have cheated against Cotto (I believe he did, but that's besides the point), he still has the rematch to avenge the loss.
Worst thing is he can lose again, big deal. If he wins (even in a close bout) most people will say; "You see, he has always been the better fighter".

A lot to win, not much to lose.

Cotto's chance to prove Marg was cheating.

Also, Margo's chance to prove he did not need to cheat to kick Cotto's azz.

I never did like Cotto's decision to go to 154. If I was in his shoes right now, I would definitely like that rematch, but I'd have no choice but to have it at a weight that suits him [Margarito] more.

But if I was still operating down at 147 - like I should be doing - then I'd have every reason to demand Margarito to come back down there, or at least 150. If that was the case, then yes, I'd definitely rematch him.

even if Margarito wins, it doesn't prove he didn't cheat in the first fight, Cotto is past his best

Nah. He's just got Cotto's number. If he's past his "best", maybe he was just never that good in the first place.

Margarito is certainly past his best also too. For every reason in the world, Margarito should lose this fight.

If i was actually Cotto then yes i would. Cotto is the kind of guy who has the mental strength to not crumble and go in scared.

However as a fan i really do worry about him in this fight. I feel with or without the wraps (which we dont know were used vs Cotto) Marg is his kryptonite.

I can only hope that Pac man has damaged him enough that he comes in damaged goods, but you have to look at the condition Marg was in for the pac man fight and worry for Cotto. If he comes in like that then Cotto has problems.

(And yes i am aware Marg took a heavy beating in the Pac man fight, but my god he must have been in amazing shape to take his beating and survive)

Only if i was after a Legacy, Cotto would then have avenged one of his 2 defeats. And had a nice set of wins over some decent comp.

    Otherwise Muck Fargarito
