The Margarito fight changed him forever. If it was me, I could not live with myself not knowing if I actually could have won, especially after how the first half of that fight was going.

I would not, but if he wins his legacy is secure in someways. He will be remembered as very very good and a warrior.

It's true Margarito doesn't deserve this..

But Cotto does.. Big payday (Maybe his biggest ?), Cotto has to beat him also..

The good guy has to win, no ?

Cotto can K.O. Margarito in second ONE of RD ONE in a rematch it still don't change the first fight.

That said, Glad Miguel don't have the mentality that most of you have....
Dude is a warrior & he want's his chance to prove he can win Vs. his papi.

The first fight is heavily questioned... If Cotto beats Margarito easily few will believe that Marg didn't cheat in the first fight.

The outcome of the second fight will dictate how the first fight is seen.

Margarito had plaster in his gloves the first time, and Cotto dominant up to the KO. So he should have Margarcheato's gloves checked and get his revenge.

    Yes.

I understand the theory that you wouldn't want to give someone a pay-day if you think they cheated against you but I think the opportunity to get revenge is too much to pass.

A win here could convince Cotto that he's the better man. Not only that but, in boxing, revenge is a different concept than in any other sport or way of life. He could enact his revenge by legally beating the **** out of the guy who cheated him, in front of the whole world. How can you say no to an opportunity like that?

I hope Cotto gets the catch-weight too. Drain him to the point where he's almost fainting at the weigh-in before ending his career in the ring. Don't show mercy like Pacquiao did either.

Margarito has the advantage @ 154, cotto was quite a small 147 fighter at 154 he's tiny, Margarito is a big 154 fighter.
