I don't understand what Haye has to lose if he truly believes he will beat both Klitschkos, he gets 3 straight fights if he wins....

There is risk for all three of them.
It aint as clear cut as there interviews will have you beleave.
The fact is, none of us know the truth behind the contract talks.
My thoughts are that all three could KO the other two.
We know the brothers grim aint gonna fight each other, and at the end of the day, both klits want a final big big pay day, only haye offers this.
They have fought more bums in the history of the sport and gradualy built there fortunes, so why give haye **** for earning some bank balance before putting it on the line ?
He aint doing NOTHING they themselves havnt been doing for years !!
**** em, they can wait for there golden handshake !

We all know this, Wlads going to KO him, so theres no point in worrying about the next fight cause it wont be against a Klitschko.

If I was Haye, my actions would depend on my self-assessment.

Think you can beat the Klits - already would have fought them both.
Know you can't beat them - fight Audley.

Don't complain about their level of opposition when every decent contender is running scared, Haye being the biggest culprit.

So the Klitschkos ran their mouths for 2 years promising their deluded fans that they would knockout the no. 1 guy in the division only to run away at every opportunity to back up their words? I must have missed that.

If I was Haye, I would already be a millionair times over, with a couple future fights after the Klits to bring in more $$$$ as well, and especially considering I plan on getting out of the sport soon, I would assume I would have the intestinal fortitude and spiritual itch to prove myself the best fighter in the world, and to become the true, undisputed, heavyweight champion of the world.

But its easier to say when you are not in their shoes.

everyone thinks its about clauses and contracts...... when david haye BREAKS ****ing contracts as soon as he makes them.....
fight a klitschko...if you win (BIG IF) break another contractm who cares? you dont, nor your fans and go fight ruiz II or valuev II (who may be close to 40 by then)

honestly this is how i see it.

a klitschko fight for david haye is huge risk huge reward. that much is undeniable.

what is also true, is he is marketable and as such can have low risk medium reward fights as this fight with harrison has proven.

looking at the long term picture, i dont believe he can beat wladimir. i think he will get slaughtered and he might think the risk is to great. could he make as much money else where? no he couldnt, but he could certainly make millions fighting lesser opponents.

its a tough choice for a man to make.

for a boxer it should be about legacy etc. but for a man, stepping up to the plate in a fight that almost gurantess you will suffer some huge punishment, it is a much bigger ask. especially when you've already made your money and don't NEED to take the risk.

of course we all want him to take the fight, we wouldnt be boxing fans if we didn't. but as a man, i wouldn't take it. that might say more about my mentality then it does about anything else, but thats why im a teacher and not a boxer.

It's hard to believe Haye will step aside in a year. There's just too much money to be made during that time.

Even if a Klit dismantles him, there's still lots of cash to be made fighting the other Klit, Adamek, or the like. Or playing gatekeeper for newer upcoming guys.

For the time being, marketability requires holding on to the WBA belt. So he'll have to face Chagaev or Boystov eventually. If he feels he can't beat them then maybe just take a shot against a Klit while he can still get 50-50.

It's hard to predict Haye's next fight cause his actions aren't very predictable. Jones Jr would be a disgraceful match-up, especially coming after a fight with Audley (unless Jones could somehow get past Sprott). Hopkins would be a good fight if Bernard somehow gets past Pascal. As for Holyfied, Holyfied-Haye might actually be a decent fight, but Haye would get tons of **** for it. Maybe let Holyfield fight Hopkins or Jones Jr. and the winner can get a title shot.

I see Guillermo Jones, Mormeck, and Adamek as serious potential opponents for Haye's next fight (and then a mandatory in the summer). This would get Haye back into the rhythem of fighing shorter guys in the lead-up to Boystov or Chagaev. Of course, Adamek and Mormeck are in line to face Wlad so Haye would have to make a financially attractive offer.

I think Haye could still win back a sizable fan base in the lead-up to a Klit fight next Fall if he gets in 2 decent fights after Audley. Wishful thinking....I know.

i wouldnt be surprised at a holyfield fight. not at all.

i would be happy if he had 3 more fights vs vitali, wlad and solis. that would be enough for me. but i think he will keep playing the business game and fight holyfield then adamek in the states.

I can see Haye claiming that he owes Holyfield a shot since Holy got robbed against Valuev. Good sporting reasons to justifiy the cash grab lol.

I think if Holyfield wins some kind of eliminator then Haye will jump at the chance, but idk if Sherman Williams will count unless Holyfield utterly destroys him.
