Here's the the thing though Khan is the WBC silver Light Welterweight Champion and if i remember correctly in Lucas Matthysse's last fight he won the Interim WBC Light Welterweight Championship if things go legitimately and judging by the timeline Matthysse could fight Khan in April or May well then that is a fight that could very well be made as it seems like Matthysse is on a one way crash course with either Khan or Garcia and whoever he makes it to first is going to take a HUGE loss as he's a superior version of Garcia which signals the end for BOTH Garcia and Khan.

 

I would go with Lamont Peterson what happened to the days where guys avenged they defeats (Lennox Lewis) then if he wins Danny Garcia

 

A stiffer but still soft touch. Maybe someone like Anthony Peterson or Victor Cayo; both a step up in class that will test Khan's discipline but don't have the one-punch knockout power to end the night for him. Khan needs to maintain range, be aware of what he's throwing instead of rushing his shots, and get more comfortable in his guard so he can block and parry without ceding ground. He can continue improving on that with a fighter like Peterson or Cayo. Then maybe Lamont, and if he looks good, Garcia. He can beat Garcia if he focuses on giving him nothing to counter and drills blocking and slipping looping shots all camp.

And Corley is also a good shout, as some posters have already mentioned.

 

At least one more recovery fight but no more than two

 

Cash him out with MATHYSSE, then send him back to the UK in a magic carpet. Then give the fans what really matters.
