If you were Golden Boy Promotions, how would you match Khan?

Sounds to me that Khan himself wants to fight Peterson & Garcia

Ajose Olugeson or Lopez @ 140 next I say...

Garcia & Peterson are took up atm.... So i'm guessing Khan will face Garcia after they both win their next fights...

Wonder where Lucas slots into this plan of the 140 division?

Lopez is a risky unknown... Khan would still happily take it... Would prepare him better than Ajose possibly? Ajose is a 12 round fight and so is Lopez...

 

Fight Manny Pacquiou. He is much faster and Pac would be unable to deal with his movement and jab. Pac is ready to get knocked out again.
Khan should get him soon, before Pac gets knocked out by someone else.

I'd consider moving up him up to 140 where there's less punchers. If he runs in to Garcia again or Matthysse or Rios he's in trouble, whereas he could maybe target Paulie's 147 belt or even the winner of Alexander/Brook, particularly if it's the latter as that would be a huge fight over here in the UK.

Otherwise, he should go after Peterson first before looking for the Garcia rematch I feel. Nowhere near as tough a fight, Peterson doesn't have the punch to potentially devastatingly knock Khan out for the 3rd time in his career, and his purse bids are always extremely low so with a good purse offer I think he'd take that rematch no doubt.

I've seen Joseito Lopez' name floated about, that might be a decent fight, credible enough name to get back in with, though I'm not sure he can make 140 anyway. Maybe make that at a 144lb or so catchweight and test the waters, see how Khan feels at a higher weight and whether he feels stronger and more comfortable and as quick.
