It's clear he's only in it for the big payday loss to a Fury or Joshua down the line so what route would you take to get him to a level where he can be somewhat of a credible fighter before facing them?

Fight in tough tests to earn his shot. Basically the opposite of what he is doing.

haye needs a credible opponent, but I just can't see much out there who will test him. I certainly don't want to see Briggs.

I would like to see him in with pulev but will the top challengers risk agaisnt Haye knowing they will get more cash agaisnt AJ. Fury, Wlad, AJ, Wilder,Povetkin all tied up, don't know about Ortiz, Parker won't risk his shot for the ibf belt. Whyte needs a comeback fight after surgery. After that not much else.

Well he's had 2 warm up fights after a long time out and has aired it for free on tv so you can't blame him for that but now I think he needs to get in with someone like Whyte, Price or Allen as that would really generate interest amongst British fans.

If he smashes one of them then everyone will be calling for Joshua to give him a shot.

Haye doesn't have the money to get top guys over here. No TV means no money.

Claw back respect by apologising to everybody who has paid to attend his last two ''fights'' then retire.

Fight an actual heavyweight.....Ortiz, Ustinov winner. Hell even pulev would be a step up.

Maybe wearing a black nappy would help

Go in with Dillian Whyte and look to take him out earlier than AJ did.

If these fights can be made then one of the following:

    Ortiz
    Pulev
    Takam

One of those three would be a serious statement of intent. Jennings, Whyte or Washington are more likely shouts that would show some willing and put him in a position to claim he has a right to take on Wilder, Povetkin or Parker. Beat one of those guys and then he's ready to aim at Wlad, AJ or Fury.

Fight chisora again or Price or anyone known ....would attract fight fans and make sure they ask for the AJ fight... This Briggs fight may do more damage than good.

Briggs will sell this fight....believe me when the contract is signed...briggs will travel to every major city in the uk....as well has set up a bunch of staged events...(like the one with wladimir in the restaurant)....one big paycheck and off to the next country...probably new Zealand to annoy parker....or china to fight one of them heavys..Zhang zing or the other one.....the chinese would love Briggs...they love a good photo

All people want is for him to fight a decent Heavyweight. His 'big fight' is Briggs, which is frankly an embarrassment. I'd even be happy with him and Whyte...at least one of them would have to pipe down for a bit then
