My point is this, instead of crying about an already accomplished HoF fighter with 21 champions beat under his belt, build your ****ing resume, become the man in your division by beating the best contenders in your division.

Canelo's resume at 168 is 10X better than Benavidez' and has fought at that weight 1/3 of the time, and 100X better overall. He doesn't need David.

Benavidez was royally ****ed by PBC. Why is it as an up and comer he's fought only one to two times a year the last several years. Why didn't he get Plant before Canelo if both Plant and Benavidez are both signed for PBC.

The bottom line is that Benavidez will have to wait longer for Canelo because of bad business decisions and poor managing from his advisors.

Hopefully matchroom can make the fight, now we'll have to see if PBC let's Benavidez fight in another network.

    Here's a crazy idea:

Why not just fight the guy?

He might as well golf at this point. Doing nothing but numbers for boxing with his recent opponents. He'd bring in sponsors golfing and it'd clear out Canelo fans for boxing

Again, because he wasn't offered in the contract.

If I was in Canelo shoes right now, i would retire and enjoy the wealth. Legacy is set in stone even with Controversial decisions.

I don't like getting hit in the face.

If I had to fight, it would be pack of bums left and right for easy money.

When there are Muppets who paid for Fury Chisora 3. Who wouldn't fight subpar competition while holding belts hostage.

Berlanga is not a top contender lol. He is ranked 9th in the division and even that is generous.

You're not following are you? Berlanga is the mandatory for the WBA. LOL

Quit arguing already, you don't know what you're even arguing about.

The problem is you thinking sanctioning body rankings mean something when in reality they are often a joke. Thurman is also ranked 1 on the WBC rankings. lol

Cool. Then explain to me how Berlanga is Canelos WBA mandatory ahead of the interim champ Morrell.

I just went on the WBA site and Berlanga is ranked 8th.

Weren't you crying that Canelo must fight Benavidez because he's ranked #1 by the WBC?

How am I asking Canelo to get paid less than what he is worth? He'd probably make the same amount of money regardless of who he fights. Benavidez and Munguia are fellow Mexicans so it probably makes sense to fight one of them. Munguia being the easier fight obviously.

Benavidez does enhance his legacy more than Berlanga or Munguia, who lost to Denis Hogan FFS. Benavidez is undefeated, competing in the same weight class as Canelo. They are both Mexican which adds to the fight folklore like Barrera-Morales. It would be a very good win and a big fight for Canelo.

Imagine 20 years from now saying Canelo beat a blown up 154 pounder whose biggest win was Juan Ryder and got a gift off of a journeymen.

What part of PBC not honoring the contract? Why should Canelo trust PBC?

The deal was three fights at 35 million. None of the opponents were Benavidez.

Now suddenly they want to twist Canelo's arm and tell him the only way they will honor their deal is if he does what they tell him. GTFO lol

PBC lost their credibility with Canelo. Now Canelo can get Hearn to make the fight hopefully next year.
