What would you do about his conditioning? I would love to send him on a boot camp in Tenerife with the likes of Frank Bruno and Nigel Benn and do some decent roadwork on them mountains. I accept he will never have a six-pack, but he always looks out of sahpe to me
First off I would stop feeding the fat ****er pies and chips....the man is a complete disgrace to British sport.
I don't think there's a lot his trainer can do about it. He's obviously just undisciplined and not dedicated to his profession.
I don't think that he "comes into the ring" as such, its more like hefted in...the fat ****er :-(, there's absolutely no excuse
The kid obviously has some talent ,not much, but some, but I just can't get beyond his disgusting conditioning. If he dropped a couple of stone it would be a start and a base to work from, but he and his team don't seem to give a flying ****....a disgrace.
What annoys me is that when I'm trying to turn my mates on to boxing and they tune in to see this flabby man, it makes it very hard to convince them our sport isn't a joke.
I remember seeing McDermott lose to Skelton and being shocked. Skelton's no body beautiful but at least he looks in shape. Danny Williams may get tubby (understatement) but at least looks like a fighter. MeDermott looks like he spent his entire camp eating Danny's supply of exceedingly good cakes. If he lost that weight, imagine how it would improve his mobility!
