It would be an easy win for Marquez, Valero doesn't bring anything to the table except the very slim chance he can live up to hype and knock JMM out in the first round. As he's reaching the end of his career, you would expect him to take a higher profile bigger paying opponent.

If Hatton beats Pacquiao, Marquez vs Hatton makes a lot of sense. Assuming that the Hatton facing Pac isn't leagues better than the one that lost to Mayweather it seems a smart choice considering the money that Hatton draws (especially after a theorhetical victory to Pac means it can be billed for the 'p4p title')

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a very high risk and high reward fight for Marquez, considering the size and weight differences of the two fighters it's a fight I wouldn't recommend he take. JMM is seemingly afraid of no man, so may be tempted by the glory of ruining PBF's record and beating the most talented and annoying boxer alive.

If Pacquiao beats Hatton, this is the fight.

Marquez needs an actual "W" over Pacquiao for his legacy - or he'll forever be in the Pinoy's shadow.

years from now, our grandchildren would ask what is the defining moment of JMM...

i would reply, his defining moment was when he fought pacquiao twice and barrera once. the fights were classic and he kissed the canvas in those three fights...
