I would say no because when Floyd beats him,his career is over..Bob knows what he is doing by making excuses for Manny... Manny I believe wants to fight but does not know how to be his own man.

Yes, absolutely, because if you're Pac you will put a ton of pressure on Floyd to sign the contract. If Floyd does step up and the fight happens...what's there to cry about?? You will make $40 mil. If you lose the fight you can't really complain because you were at the tail end of your career anyway. You will be admired for making a sacrifice by taking a small percentage of the purse to give the fans what they want. There are a lot of upsides. Just imagine if you won. Your resume would become holy.

Biggest fight of all time deserves 50/50. Period. Floyd is a vagina.

You just said it...I would say about $190 million...the fighters split right around 1/3.

So $65 million...with Manny making his $40 million you would have............$105 million!!! haha

So when Oscar and Floyd fought, they split the money as follows:

    $23.3 Oscar guarantee
    10.0 Floyd guarantee.

Fight did $137 million and of this, the fighters took 1/3 approx or approx $45.7 million.

    Oscar 29.5
    Floyd 16.2

    45.7

Total $79 million at 2.4 million buys.

So let's say it does your $190 million in revenue and Manny takes his $40 million. Floyd would end up with approx $63 million.

So by what you just said, and based on past fights (you can see Mayweather-Mosley, May-Marquez, Pac-Hatton, Pac-Cotto, etc etc as to what the fighters split and it's always around 1/3 of the total revenue plus whatever their guarantee's were).

So that is a fair deal based on your analysis of what the fight does in revenue. Floyd would take home about a 1/3 on the upside which is about 63 million.

Being that Manny has a high payday of 25.5 million, I believe the 40 million was very fair and generous as Floyd would stand to make roughly 18 million more than his highest payday just as Manny would make 14.5 million more his high payday. The revneue and PPV numbers for each fighter support what I'm saying as does past splits on upside.

This is just speculation. In reality, whatever smoke and mirrors they "try to up" are not even relevant when sitting at the negotiation tables. It's business and he lost; his stock dropped. Stock dropped after getting the robbery over Marquez too.

Yea, Floyd should make pennies more than his last fight while Manny would have a guarantee'd more than double his highest payday.:patsch

These idiots that know nothing about the business side are funny. Horrible way to split it as Floyd makes more per fight and does bigger numbers than Manny in the ppv #'s and revenue #'s.

**** no. That's an insulting lowball offer.

Unfortunately for Manny, the fight has lost some of it's luster because 1) if it does happen, it will be anywhere from 3 to 4 years too late; 2) Manny himself lost some bargaining power first with the controversial win over Marquez, and then being on the receiving end of one of the two worst decisions of this year (Rios-Abril being the other). Floyd, meanwhile, has stayed undefeated, and has had the good fortune of fighting a fellow box office draw in Cotto in his last fight, while Pacquiao had Bradley in his last fight, who can't draw flies to ****. The result of that being Floyd looks clearly more marketable, both because of opponents and the outcomes of the fights themselves.

Nevertheless, the biggest payday of both of their careers would be with each other. There has to be a split of the PPV revenue.

Personally, if I were advising Pacquiao, I'd say he should ask for a lower flat fee than whatever Floyd will want (say Floyd gets a $60 million base, Manny gets a $40-$50 million base), with the PPV revenues being split 40-40, with the winner getting the other 20%. That deal favors Floyd strongly (acknowledging the change in drawing power since 2009), while still being fair enough to Manny.

lol..your so far off...Floyd is doing bigger numbers and on top of that, your not going to leave 20 percent in the hands of the judges...:patsch

Can't split it 40/40...Floyd would take a paycut if he lost, while Manny is guarantee'd about 13 million more his high payday if he lost...Horrible way to do it. One guy gets a guarantee'd paycut if he loses while the other guy is guarantee'd 13 million more his high..wow that's really really unfair...horrible offer and way of doing things. Leave 0 in the hands of the judges too.

Not to mention there isn't 110 million on the table in guarantee's lmfao...the fight would do 110 million split maybe but nothing much more..the total revenue on the fight would be around $190 million.

Floyd did not have a base for the $40 million dollar offer...he woulda ended up with around 1/3 of the total revenue so probably about $63-$65 million.

Biggest money fight in history deserves a 5% either side not a flat rate.

    I would say no.

Arum himself said Floyd wanted 60/40 split. Not sure where he got that information but that is from Pacquiao's promoter.

Just saying whatever the base pay Floyd wants, Manny should ask for a little less. I was speaking in hypothetical terms. Like, whatever Floyd's base is, Manny gets 80% of it.

Besides, most Floyd fans are of the opinion Manny would get brutally outclassed and stopped. If that's the case, why continually make terrible lowball offers that he knows no rational human being would take?

No, manny can save himself a public execution and humiliation by going after his recycled rematch proposals: Juan, Timmeh, and Cotto(e).
