If you were Martinez' promoter...

    Martinez is 35 and just now getting the publicity; time is against him. If you were DiBella what are your best realistic choices to get Martinez into PPV quickly?

    The best thing I could think up was a match with Cotto at 154 should Cotto beat Foreman, but I don't know if Arum would be so keen on that idea.

    Cotto is obvious the best choice and the best name Martinez can get so quickly. Cotto would be ready in november/december

    i think he should fight P.Williams straight away (if P.W. beats Cintron) whilst the buzz is still there and its what fans want,the first won was a epic battle!! a win againt PW in a rematch is going to set up a trilogy, i can see the nxt ward/gatti, barrera/morales and vasquez/marquez epic wars from these two

    Williams rematch. Martinez can beat anybody from 154/160. No point skipping and looking for the easy names.

    Everyone from 154 to 160 should be racing to take Cotto.


    He is like a freshman college chick walking into the Football Dormitory. Everyone should be racing to set up a date... for good reason.

    Try to get Mayweather, its the biggest money fight and Martinez has advantages at 160, Mayweather may fancy fighting a smaller middleweight for the lineal middleweight title

    Martinez would light that ass up at Middleweight. And Floyd is smart enough to know it.

    The WBC gave Martinez 15 days from Saturday to decide which title to keep, but Pavlik has 30 days to exercise the rematch clause. How does that work? What if Pavlik wants the rematch, but Martinez wants to fight PW at 154? Can Martinez legally vacate the middleweight title?

    Arum barely gives a **** about Cotto after the Margarito fight, Because he know he is close to beeing Shot. Damaged Goods and he will never be the same like he was before Margarito. But my guess it that he want's to throw Cotto against fighters who are Top Rank fighters

    hahaha i kinda agree with you, Martinez and PW will definately be wanting to jump on Cotto, but man Cotto is a warrior, i would never count him out who ever he fought at 154

    (apart from the two names stated above)
