It's best for Cotto's career if he fights Floyd in the next year, year-and-a-half max. Cotto has shown tremendous strides in his boxing ability and defense, but I think he's hitting his prime and is getting to where he's as good as he's going to be. Mayweather, on the other hand, is likely going to start going on the downslide soon.

If Cotto were to lose to Floyd, as long as he put up a good fight, there'd be no shame, especially if Floyd were still undefeated and wasn't showing signs of slippage. If he beat Floyd, the sky's the limit.

One thing I have to admit: because of his introverted demeanor and his still-developing use of English, Mayweather-Cotto 24/7 would probably be the least entertaining in the series.

I guess Cotto could go wip Hoya, Spinks, and Forest while he's waiting for Williams and Floyd

Witter is willing to move up for a big fight so I'd give him a chance if the money was right.

If I was Cotto, I would try to unify and when Mayweather wants it then fight him.

Mayweather has not cleaned out the division. Should Cotto take that burden ?
