And if you were Saddler/Moore, how would you tell Foreman to fight Joe Louis?

If I were Blackburn I'd tell Joe to Hit him right on the chin with a right hand.

Soon as George paws with his left and pulls back to let one go Louis can step in and hit him five times.

If I were Sadler I would tell George to smother Louis, not give him any room or time to get set. To just maul and smother him all night. Forget about timing him from long range. He has to win ugly.

Since Louis beats him to the jab, jab him all night from the outside.
Use your feet to stay away from his punches.
Don't get in position for him to counter you.
Try to mix it up with him in closer range so you can beat him with your speed.
Do to him what you did to MB.

If I were Saddler/Moore, I'd tell Foreman to down 3 1970's Protien Shakes and he's got it in the bag. But he must drink the shakes.

Blackburn should just say 'pull the trigger Joe' Big George is gonna walk right to you with his chin up in the air and little head movement. I think this would be a nightmare matchup up for Foreman.

Louis might be vulnerable to Foreman's uppercuts. Otherwise, Louis is the
    more complete fighter.

And if they both fought as old men, I still pick Louis. Everything still applies. Louis is not as sharp but Foreman is completely stationary. Fight ends as soon as Louis wants it to.

Louis had far better fundamentals than Foreman: better Balance, Shorter punches, greater Punch variety etc. one Problem though: he had slow feet.

so telling him to Dance around Foreman isnt Happening. instead he´d have to stay in front of Foreman and Counter him as soon as Foreman opens up.
but since Foreman was far bigger, a huge Puncher with a better chin and an awesome jab..........it s quite an asking.

Louis has the skills in this matchup but Foreman has the physicality. Unfortunately the majority of Louis' skills are offensive, and he's going up against the Foreman chin. Stylistically this is a difficult fight for Louis. He's simply got to make Foreman respect his power and turn it into a boxing match instead of a slugfest.

Forman was extremely strong, extremely crude and extremely accurate. The way to beat any fighter is to stop him doing what he does best and force him to take what you do best.

I think Foreman needs to stop Louis in his tracks, maul him and climb all over him. It’s not really George’s game. He liked to hunt a man down and smash him from arms length.

I think Louis can stop Foreman doing what he was good at because he can repeatedly beat him to the draw. George was brave. he would keep trying and he’d always carry the power he had. But I just see him getting chopped up. Joe can hit him, shuffle, hit him, shuffle again and hit him some more all night.

You know I don’t think it’s such a hard fight for Louis as some might think. Joe Louis was big enough and good enough to beat any size of guy. And he proved it.

I don’t necessarily think Louis has to dance all night either. We saw Foreman walk into Ron Lyle who did not run, and as a consequence Foreman got the shock of his life and avoided big punchers ever after. Louis was a better puncher than Lyle. More composed. Faster hands..

Out of all the great heavies, I say a prime Tyson is the most worrisome for Louis. I say Louis stops George

Yes, if Tyson can stay focused, if he can prepare himself for what could come back at him, would be in for a much better chance than Foreman would against Louis.
