If you were the Ref.. Would you have DQ'd Holyfield (Tyson fight)?

    Agree.
Tyson coulda been thrown out very easily himself in fights.
Watch his fight v Tyrell Biggs.

No Holyfied shouldn't have been DQd that's a bit extreme in my opinion, what frustrated Tyson was that Holyfield didn't even get a warning for it. In fact he was known as a warrior, a do gooder, christian etc.

Infact, when Tyson got cut in the first fight, the crowd were actually jeering Tyson and booing him.

But, the pivotal moment came in the 6th round. Tyson had a very good fifth round and a strong start to the 6th, Holyfield then planted his head and then there was a low blow and then the KD.

Tyson stated in an interview straight after the fight that from that round onwards he spent most of the fight in a blur.

In the second fight, I think the bite was out of frustration and to try and 'level the playing field' so to speak.

Id love to have seen how that 2nd fight would have evolved had Mills Lane not DQd Tyson. We could have been in for a proper dirty slugfest.

You don't half talk out of your ass, do you know who caused the cut in their first bout? It certainly wasn't Holyfield.....

Level the playing field hahaha, I've heard it all now. Tyson bit his ear because he wanted a way out, he knew he was in for another hiding and couldn't handle it.

Fighters being dirty is just a part of the sport, unfortunately. Most top fighters bend the rules to some extent, if not outright break them. Refs should enforce fouls more, I mean rules are there for a reason.

Holyfield has always been a master of the "intentional accidental headbutt". He leads with his head and is sneaky with it. Tyson is not sneaky with his fouls. He blatantly hits after the bell, throw a blatant headbutt in the first round of the first Ruddock fight, hits guys when they are down, etc...

I do get a kick when fighters complain about other fighters being dirty, when they do it themselves. Max Kellerman called Lennox Lewis out on his bull**** when they were commentating on Calzaghe-Bika. Lennox, who once hit Mike Acey 3 times when Acey was down, said "I wouldn't have done that" in regards to a foul, and Kellerman said "Michael Grant would disagree with that".

Lennox paused for a long time, then said "no comment"
