    6. Matt mitirone vs. Cheik Kongo
    7. Stephan bonnar vs. Brandon Vera
    8. Melvin Guillard vs. Anthony pettis

    Not really.

    Let's say he loose against Guida, technically why would he fight the LW champ ? Guida would be next in line.

    He got ****ed. Plain and simple !

    More like unfortunate circumstances. There is unfinished business between Edgar and Maynard, and I'm pretty sure Pettis isn't wealthy enough to remain inactive.

    I would like to see Pettis in a title fight. I think Maynard may be the tougher opponent for him. I think Pettis has better stand up than Edgar, and Edgar would have to take on the wrestler role for this bout.

    I understand that side of the story. But the problem isn't between the the belt and Maynard/Edgar, it's between Maynard and Edgard. Why **** around a guy that supposed to have a title shot because he is suppose to unify the title !

    So what now ? Is the Guida/Pettis fight going to be for the WEC LW title ? If it is and Guida wins and unify the title I have no problem with it. But I know it's going to be a 3 round fight and who the **** cares about unifying the title after all ? NOT business as usual !

    A drawn title match needs a rematch. Don't see how anybody can argue against that.

    Pettis should never have been promised the title shot in the first place. None of the other WEC Champions were given unification matches and most of them found it difficult to make the transition. That said after the Strikeforce buyout I would have booked Pettis-Melendez as a WEC/Strikeforce unification.
