C. He's above average because he wins but he looks poor doing it. Probably be better to grade his attributes then average the score.

 

He obviously has some talent, because he's an Olympic bronze medalist and holds a world title despite taking up boxing late.

Hell, the fact that he even MADE the Olympics despite taking up the sport late shows he has talent. Do you know how many amateur boxers train all their lives and still fail to qualify for the Olympics?

 

B level. He is on the level as Akinwande or a poor-man's version of Frank Bruno. Good enough to win an ABC belt, then cheat and scam his way with fraudulent defenses without facing mandatories.

 

He was out of Russia before any decision regarding the fight from the WBC was made. I wouldn't call that reasonable.

 

B level, haven't beaten anyone close to A level and haven't looked convincing beating his row of 15 ranked WBC contenders.

If it weren't for his belt, he'd be a top contender.

 

I gave him a B, I can't give a guy that has iced everyone except one
person in his fights an F or D, he has a belt and I do think he probably beats
most of the top 10 with the exception of maybe 4 guys. That's a solid B

 

A plus for me. WBC champion and has fought one fighter barely in the top ten. Unbelievable achievement.

 

What level is Dustin Nichols? Deontay is two below that.

I like Wilder but we just need to see him with some real opposition at the pro level.

C Plus which isnt good at all for a 6'7 HW champion. though its not entirely his fault. His trainers are incompetent ,instead of actually making him a better fighter they applaud him and tell him how great he is on basic skills or tasks like hitting mitts ,shadow boxing etc while he throws the trainer around also on occasion with him covering up like hes getting mugged and shouts to everyone hes the man????

Honestly they let him train himself from what i see and just go along with whatever he does it seems and it shows looking at footage from 2014 to present time. He does have some unpredictability and heart so....theres that....C Plus.
