If you were to judge Mosley based on the Mayorga / Cott fight (minus Margo fight)?

    Is Mosley's performance against Mayorga says he's on the decline? Below post from another thread got me thinking.

    I wanna hear objective posts, because it's a valid question that has a point.

    Different fighters, different styles, different matchups....

    nah i really believe Shane took the fight against Mayorga not seriously enough.. He probably thought he was gonna blow this old version of Mayorga away, Who hadn´t been active for years and struggled with an old and fat Vargas while mosley easily beaten him...

    I think we all thought it was a meaningless easy fight for Shane.... Against Cotto i think Shane looked very good..

    Shane isn't near the top of his game. I am also interested to see how he looks after yet another year off at this advanced age. He isn't shot obviously... but he isn't the terror that a lot of people are making him out to be.

    this is bang on. fact is mayorga fought an awkward fight as the bigger stronger fighter. he made it rough and tough for mosley who didn't get into his rhythm at all until basically the 12th. besides, mosley should never be at 154

    Mosley looked pretty crappy at 154 bar the Vargas rematch so this isn't really surprising that he would look kinda crappy against Mayorga who came into the ring at 170 lbs to Mosley's 159 (?). Except for Vernon Forrest x2, to my knowledge Mosley hasn't really looked horrible against anyone he fought under the WW limit. It probably has something to do with the weight

    This is the second day running you've started a thread (I believe) where you've tried to discredit Shane Mosley, the worst thing is you're not even using your own opinion in both opening posts, preferring to copy and paste from other threads.

    Go and watch the fights and form your own opinion.

    You're mistaken. I am not discrediting shane. You're mistaken again, because the thread i created before this has a long post saying my opinion. So you're wrong on all counts.

    I am trying to find out where he is at the moment, and what i do is get "constructive", non-bias and objective discussions. I am discrediting noone.

    Oh sorry. I didn't know Ali and those other 3 fought a questionable fighter (caught cheating) before of after those fights.
