If you will buy this expensive $70 Floyd-Ortiz PPV, youre actually giving it to Floyd

    Boxers' purses:

    Floyd - $25,000,000 (85%)
    Ortiz - $2,500,000 (8%)
    Alvarez - $800,000 guesstimate (3%)
    Gomez - $400,000 guesstimate (1.4%)
    Erik Morales - $350,000 (1.2%)
    Pablo Cano - $100,000 (0.3%)
    Vargas - $100,000 (0.3%)
    Lopez - $30,000 (0.1%)

Floyd's guaranteed purse of $25 million dollars takes about 85% of the total boxers' purses so if you will buy this expensive $70 PPV, you're actually doing it because of Floyd. You basically gave 85% of that price tag to Floyd.

But $70 is just peanuts if you want to see the most skilled (and most overpaid) boxer on the planet.

    From the scene ...

"According to the Nevada State Athletic Commission, Floyd Mayweather Jr. is guaranteed $25 million dollars for Saturday's fight with WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz, which takes place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Ortiz will be making $2 million for the fight, with an additional $500,000 as the overall package. Both boxers will receive undisclosed upside percentages from the pay-per-view revenue.

Erik Morales will receive $350,000, with Pablo Cesar Cano getting $100,000.

Jessie Vargas will make a good payday of $100,000 for the pay-per-view opener, and his opponent Josesito Lopez is receiving $30,000."

And Floyd raked 85% of the total boxers' purses. Unbelievable how overpaid Floyd is. He will be paid $25 million dollars and will dish out another boring potshotting 12 rounds boxing session.

Erik Morales will be paid $350,000 (a mere 1.2% of the total purses) and will dish out an all action entertaining, exciting fight.

    Unbelieveable ...

    This.

It's a good card. Why worry about who is getting the most money? The OP is being a hater. Pac v Mosely was a farce (and informed people knew it would be) and the undercard was not comparable, yet the price was comparable to this one (about $15 dollars difference). PPV's over $29 should be considered steep, especially, when they don't promise enough good fights. Split the cost with some buddies and it's no big deal, wait a week, go to the theater or a bar, or find some shitty stream to mitigate or eliminate the cost.
