You can't, punchers are born not made.

A trainer teaches you how to throw and either you hit hard or you don't George Foreman or joe louis don't have special techniques, they just punch hard.

You start by learning how to punch properly, how to turn your body, shift your weight, etc...This is really important when you consider that 80% of the offensive work is done by your front hand. Being able to slide in with a jab, hook off the jab, hook to the body, throw a left uppercut and then another left hook is mostly about mastering the weight shifts and the coordination between your hands and feet.
Remember also that the full body turn of the right hand leaves you in a position to throw the left with a full body turn as well. The use of your left- "weak"- hand in boxing has nothing to do with the relative strength of that hand, but with how well you coordinate it with the rest of your body, which is where power comes from.

train it, perfect your technique. when I was boxing, my left side was actually stronger, if less dexterous, than my right because of all the jabs and hooks you throw instead of right hands.

That has happened to be to an extent. My right hand is basically reserved for if they come too far inside as a counter-shot.

The trick to throwing a hard left hand.. is not throwing it with your arm. If you use body-weight instead then you aren't relying on your weaker arm.

Also.. practice makes you feel more comfortable using it obviously... Try hitting the bag with your left hand only for a few rounds... fall in love with it.

yeah ever since I started boxing, I've become pretty much ambidextrous. My right hand is much more coordinated though, but my left arm is more coordinated than my right now. If I have to reach for something, 80% of the time, I reach with my left

Answer to the Problem, is understanding, Why this happens. Simply its because of the Eyes, giving you a Dominant side, theres quite a few ways of overcoming the Problem. Stretching is a Big Help, repairing the damage that the Eyes do, to muscle alinement.

    repetition

the more you throw it, the sharper and faster i will become and create more power

also i think strength training helps, lifting weights

If you're referring to a "power jab" than it's all about your feet. Pushing off with your back foot will allow you to put your body weight behind the punch....much as you would with your straight right. Just watch Cotto's jab and you'll see.

Hey Scrap!!! Thanks for sharing that link. Its quite informative. Also to develop a powerful left hand with all of the above mentioned it needs practice.

Also completely unproven, and then he posts a link to a chiro link. In short, it's not science, or true.
