Is it more painful to see him lose by mid round knockout or by being absolutely schooled for the total 12 rounds. JMM is not my favorite fighter, but I am a fan of his and PBF schooling him was downright painful to watch.

    What do you think?

A Pavlik getting outclassed by Hops for 36 minutes straight was pretty disheartening.

Pavlik isnt my favourite - but i finally got my fiance to sit and watch a fight with me at home and at the end she was a little miffed as to how old man river looked so good

A one-sided arse whuppin is worse.

Watching Cotto take his medicine against Pac was ok because Manny is my 2nd favorite around at the moment.

Watching Skinny Hussein get dominated by Uchiyama was hard...I havent watched it since.

Even though he isn't my fav of all time (you can guess who that is), JMM has been my favorite for the past 9or 10 years. I hated it when the fight was made because I didn't want floyd to lose either and I didn't see how JMM was gonna win with while moving up that much in weight. I felt he would be accurate and crafty enough to hit Mayweather flush but after Seeing him snap mayweathers head back with good shots early, only to see they didn't come close to hurting may let me know it was gonna be a real schooling.

As for you question, I don't know. A KO and a 12 round schooling are equally as bad to watch when one of your favorite fighters is on the end of it.

The beatdown Gatti took from PBF is my darkest and most repressed boxing memory. The only thing worse than having Mayweather stop him was realizing that the fight needed to be stopped.

I would totally deny any of it happened.

I would distort what I saw to fit my perception of how things are. E.g Cortez was the reason Hatton lost.

that is a hard question, and i respect mayweather for not going for the knockout. i know people will laugh at the comment, but mayweather knows he could've stopped the fight but repsected marquez enough to not push. make what jokes you want, but mayweather knew hatton was ready for the taking and took him out. he repsected marquez enough to fight to a decision. the worst thing to watch is a fighter get schooled for a whole 12 or 11 rounds just to get knocked out after all of it. like trinidad vs hopkins. if i'm going to get knocked out either way, i hope it's sooner rather than later. accumulation of punishment followed by a sudden devestating hit seems the worse scenario.

nah, ill take a one sided loss (as long as its not physically ruining, meaning too much of a beatdown) over seeing my guy rendered sensless.

The worst thing though is if my guy gets 'broken' and stops trying to win.... since it goes against the trait i admire most in fighters.

Well, I cried when Tyson got beat by Douglas, but I was 10 years old...but to see something like that happen to my favorite fighter now would be disheartening, to say the least.

I have no favorites, personally. The sudden brutal knockout is worse though. That's pretty clear in my mind.

It took me a while to watch Barrera/Pacquiao 1. Still have not seen the second fight.
I have also yet to see Whitaker/Trinidad.
Footage of Benny Leonard/Jimmy McClarnin was just posted in the clasic fourm. Which I did watch but it was only about :60 long so it was not too harsh for me to watch. I also watched Kahn beat Slitta shortly after the fight.
