If I was him I sure as hell would.
He got his payday (he will NEVER HIT THAT LEVEL AGAIN)
He beat a monster in provo
He got booty blasted by the absolute best
He isnt entertaining enough to get into the main event of a high profile ppv again....He will most likely only be given s**** hbo cards or fight on pacquiaos ****ty undercards
He still has his face and brain in tact.

Why would he? Chris if you read this board, get out of your parents basement, do some proper investing, and live the life!

Yeah, I'm not totally convinced Algieri is a real boxer anyhow. I feel like he should be in 'Fast and Furious" movies or something. He needs to invest his money and open a gym. You're right Zato, he'll never reach that level again. In actuality, he never REACHED that level to begin with. Pac should have never fought him but that's another story.

If he has something lined up like... interest from Hollywood, a commentating gig, or upcoming Congressional seat he can win, then yea sure.

But he can still make some respectable (over $50,000) pay days in the NY area.

Does he strike you as a guy who will change his gameplan/fight style to beat the top dogs? He will have to if he wants to ever have an audience view him.

No he should not retire, he should work on getting big fights to justify his Pac pay day.

Algieri is white, attractive, and articulate....in other words he's VERY marketable.
Has some boxing skill too. I don't think he can make as much money as he can make boxing right now. Even if his checks are only in the $150k range that's probably better than he'd make otherwise

Who are you to tell him what he can and can't do? If everyone followed that weak mentality of yours, Wlad would of retired after Brewster, Foreman would of never became the oldest HW champ in history, Duran would of never won a belt at MW, and Manny Pacquaio would of never dared to be great.

Algeri can do whatever he wants. If he wants it bad enough then he'll find success.

No. I think he should probably fight a few more times. He can still improve, however he will never get a PPV fight again.
